I called a number of recyclers to get a price quote on some material I had saved up over a few years time. Many didn't answer the phone and others were giving me prices that I knew were far below current market rates.
But then I called Olgin Efune and a friendly receptionist transferred me to Brad Efune, the Co-President. Not only did he take time and handle my request professionally, but he gave me a price quote far more consistent with market rates than anyone else. Truckload loading time is abysmal. You figure when you arrive at 1pm you can get loaded and stay within fmcsa guidelines for your trip, then the shipper holds you for 5hours. All of a sudden the carrier is put at risk and it’s no ones concern besides the driver’s. Not to mention the risk to your equipment in scrap yards like this... only adds insult to injury.
