We hired Capital Movers after an extremely arduous mortgage and closing process, and frankly, really had zero capacity for more stress in our lives. I reached out for quotes from 5 local movers in Albany area; Tom was by far the most responsive, and had the best flat rate by hour arrangement from any bidder. Based on other reviews, we pulled the trigger. When our moving day came, Tom and his crew were on the scene down to the minute, and were extremely professional. They treated our possessions with great care, while moving with hustle that genuinely impressed us. Tom shot straight on all estimates

Used these guys twice so far, and would gladly use them again. Fast, professional, and reasonably-priced. When faced with a challenge (moving a large box spring into a 3rd floor apartment that didn't fit up the stairs), they figured out how to make it work anyway. Highly recommended.

I made multiple attempts to contact Tom. He called me back very intermittently, and could not give me any feedback regarding the dates I requested, as he had to "look into it."He told me he would call back, and get in touch with me, multiple times, regarding what he had available. I called and left several messages. About 5 days had gone by with no response. This company is very hard to get ahold of. We went with a much more reliable company that had an extremely quick response for all of our needs.

Tom and his entire crew are absolutely hands down the best move experience my husband and I have every had. This will be the third time using them and each time they go above and beyond. Consistently on time, clean, and actually listen to your move requests They respect your home and space. They work fast and are extremely efficient. Rates are great, no surprises. I highly recommend Capital Movers. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. There was no wasting time. They got the move done quickly yet handled my belongings with care. They even took apart an item I no longer wanted and dropped it off in the recycling bin before heading to my new place. Will definitely call on them again should I move in the future.

I really appreciated how easy these guys made moving day. They were on time (a little early actually), fast, strong, good-natured, helpful (took down some curtains for me that I hadn't been able to reach), and careful with my belongings - basically all that you could want in a moving company. Was very pleased with this company. They did a short notice (one week) local move of the contents of a three room apartment. Three guys and a truck. The price per hour was competitive and had a minimum charge of three hours. They called the day before (as he had promised) to confirm. The crew arrived on time, were pleasant, and followed our truck loading plan, as this was a two stop move.

I have used Capital Movers twice and been very satisfied with the service both times. They return phone calls in a timely manner, call to confirm details the night before the move, and show up on time. They were also careful with my things and everything got from Point A to Point B safely. They do have a minimum number of hours that they charge for, so be aware of that if you're moving a studio or small 1-bedroom within the same city. Overall happy with the experience and would utilize again.

I highly recommend Capital Movers! They are fast, efficient, and professional and all around nice guys. They do require a 2 or 3 hour minimum, so make sure you have a lot of stuff to move before you hire them. Their rates are reasonable and they work around their clients' needs. They get the job done with no complaints. We will hire them again next time we move!

We used these guys for a move from Albany to Altamont on the very first snowy day of December. The weather didn't seem to bother them or slow them down. They showed up on time, worked hard, and even though it took two trips to get everything, I felt like they maximized their time and were very careful with our things. They didn't even give me a hard time when I had to get more cash (I hadn't considered the second trip so it took more time than anticipated, and therefore I was a little light). They were very easy to work with, called ahead the night before to let me know what time

I used them this weekend and they are beyond awesome. My brother used them a few weeks ago and told me to use them. If I ever move again, I will definitely use them and I will absolutely refer people to them.
