American Caregivers, Inc. is a licensed home care agency in Silver Spring, Maryland that has been operating since 2003. We are providers of State Medicaid programs which include the Autism Waiver, Community Options, (CO), Community First Choice, (CFC) and the Community Personal Assistance Services, (CPAS) waivers.
American Caregivers, Inc. is the choice for clients and families who are looking for structured support in their home environment. If you are considering home care for yourself or a family member, the following may be useful guidelines in making your decision. Being in your own home is less stressful than dealing with many people at a facility or in institutional care.
Our programming strives to unlock the maximum potential in every child to improve Life Skills, Speech, Communication, Social Interactions, and behavior modification. We help to put the pieces together. We can't predict the future, but we know that some adults on the spectrum do live and work independently; making positive contributions in their community.
Intensive Individual Support Services are provided in the home and the community to children who otherwise would require a more restrictive residential placement. IISS is goal and task oriented, and is provided by a trained technician, based on a treatment plan developed by a professional with parental participation.
Respite care is provided on a short-term basis due to the absence or need for relief of the parent or caregiver. Respite care may be provided in the child's home or in the community. At American Caregivers, Inc. our Respite Care schedules are flexible to the client's needs while also considering their family members' preferences.
