I had a septo-rhinoplasty with Dr Barrera and at one month post op I couldn't be happier. I was very impressed with Dr. Barrera and his staff. Everyone was so professional, and his attention-to-detail gave me confidence that I made the right choice. My experience was wonderful, from consultation to surgery post op the staff was always ready and willing to answer questions. Dr. Barrera and his team are amazing! Earlier this year, I decided to move forward with my plans for a rhinoplasty. I had a consultation with another surgeon and didn't feel confident with what I saw/heard and started getting nervous. I had my second consultation with Dr. Barrera and knew instantly I wanted him to do my surgery. Everyone in the office is so nice and professional - honorable mentions for Jennifer and Dr. Lujan!! First off, I came to this practice knowing exactly what I needed and was crystal-clear as to what I've had done successfully in the past. I laid it all out for the Doc and his PA. Nothing was left unsaid.
Dr Barrera opted to go a different route, knowing my particular skin type might have issues. I trusted he knew what was best. I was wrong.
My tear-trough filler bubbled on one eye, as it was put entirely too superficially. I waited a month for it to calm down, but it didn't, so I scheduled a revisit to have the product dissolved.
When I went back, the whole thing felt a bit

Dr. Barrera and Dr. Lujan are the bomb dot com. They both take the time to listen to my concerns and address them appropriately with each session, and they REALLY care about not overdoing things. I also must add that Kat, Jennifer and Dena are AMAZING!! So completely grateful that I came across this clinic. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with concerns regarding my face.

The human desire for consistency is an amazing thing. For years, I dealt with a colossal issue -- the inability to breathe through the left side of my nose (and partially, right). I'd looked into septoplasty around a decade ago living in Toledo, Ohio. I got cold feet at the time as a friend of my mother who had the surgery dissuaded me. Fast-forward: I think she only had complications because she never really needed it and just wanted a nose job.

My wife went to see this guy for laser hair removal on her legs. She went back 3 days later as she was in a lot of pain and her legs were beginning to blister. He told her it was normal and sent her away without any follow up or care instructions. She went to a dermatologist a few days later who prescribed 2 antibiotic ointments and said to stay out of the sun and no swimming for the rest of the summer to avoid infection. We requested a refund as the leg and underarm hair continue to grow 3 months after treatment. She is now clear to swim but still can't tolerate sun on her legs. Stay

I had been struggling to breathe through my nose for years, and I finally decided to see a physician for this issue. I found Dr. Barrera online and saw he had great reviews, and after meeting with him and going through the surgery, I understand why. He was wonderful at listening to my needs and worries about having surgery and made me feel very comfortable. The only minor downside was that I feel as though his staff could have described the surgery costs & how insurance affects it in a clearer way so that we could all be on the same page about that. I consulted a couple of other surgeon's, but automatically felt at ease when consulting with Dr. Barrera. He listened to all my needs, I was still apprehensive coming into the surgery (as anyone would), but in the end he exceeded all my goals and expectations! I would recommend him without reservation, from his staff to the pre and post op, I felt so comfortable and welcome there. I am loving my new nose!

I found Dr. Barrera on the RealSelf web site where he has phenomenal reviews. I can certainly understand why now that I have been to his office. I went in for what I thought was a simple cyst on my neck. He knew immediately that this cyst, that I thought could be taken care of in 5 minutes, required a much more detailed look. I am going for a CT today with fingers crossed it will be the nothing I had hoped for initially. Oh and the staff is fantastic and I waited a whole 30 seconds to get called back to the exam room!
