Never have I sat at a restaurant table for almost 25 minutes without even an acknowledgement from our waitress. Then to have a reservation and be shoved in a corner when there are open booths available. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting but a major turn off was seeing our waitress roll her eyes at us. After 20 minutes a waitress that was not ours asked us if anyone had came to the table. When we said no, she went to make our waitress aware after that our waitress pointed at us and rolled her eyes! We went to this beautiful place to celebrate our anniversary but instead we ended up at a diner

What can I say about Nauvoo grill? Well years ago it used to be a place we went all the time as a family. We stopped going here because of poor service and cold food, on Christmas Eve, but this time around the food wasn't even a factor... let me elaborate.

Atmosphere is comfortable. Food was below standard. Ordered shrimp cocktail and ribeye. Price is not in line with size and quality of shrimp served. Steak was thin and over cooked. It’s difficult to cook a medium steak as thin as it was. Potato crochets were awful. Small, gooey elastic potato and on the dark side.
The only reason for two stars is due to atmosphere.

If I could give zero stars it would be more appropriate. Worst delivery experience we've had in past 15 years. Expensive order was confirmed but they wouldn't make the food for the delivery man. The hostess and manager threaten us "with a lifetime ban"for calling and asking them to correct the error. Our first and last "order."

In these times of fear and loathing, one of the bad by-products falls on the restaurant business. Therefore this review is bittersweet. Protecting the remaining servers but informing the establishment what they can do differently.
We were seated quite quickly. The restaurant was very nice. Clean and airy.

The restaurant is very unusual, incredibly inviting and appealing. A quiet place to eat is important to us and this fit the bill with all the carpeting to absorb the sound. The decor is like Frank Lloyd Wright and a bit like a lodge with warm browns and orange colors. I wish I could give Nauvoo a better rating but the food was awful. The chicken skewers were overcooked and the menu choices do not reflect a classy restaurant. The paper menus were all crinkly and reused many times. The food was the biggest disappointment. We really wanted to like this place. So sad!

Night and Day
The last time i was at Nauvoo was in 2018/2019 a bunch of times. Food outstanding, service wonderful, atmosphere beautiful.
I am excited about going again. Its july 2021, the food was very disappointing. Service was lacking. Couple of the servers said they where quitting after the weekend.

My wife and I have been here many times during the past year and they have always done very well keeping everyone safe. Now that restaurants have reopened fully, they are hitting the ground running. We had dinner tonight with our dear friends and everyone and everything was terrific. Lauren and Mike both went out of their way to accommodate our party and the bartenders and servers were great as always. We had the rigatoni bolognese as a shared appetizer, two had filet mignon, one had the mahi mahi and I had the pork Milanese special. (Absolutely delicious!) Went here to check out a new place for gatherings. We decided to come at the last minute and arrived around 8:10 PM on a Saturday evening. Cute town. Cuter place. The interior and exterior lights were lovely and welcoming. I was worried that we were arriving too late, but NGXB was playing on the piano, and the patrons in that part of the restaurant were happy. I love the mix of comfy chairs to chat in and tables for dining. The restaurant is divided in multiple rooms so the mood can varied as needed.

We tried Navoo the day before Valentines day, we could not find reservations in our favorite places so we decided to try something new. The restaurant is beautiful but all the fans were on in the middle of February - which I thought odd. Our server was young but was trying very hard. The courses and drink orders came out all at once, table was covered with food but unfortunately all of it was mediocre and cold, including the soup. We tried eating but finished nothing - the filet steak was overly seasoned with salt and served with an overly sweet steak sauce. Disappointing.

Came here for two separate work events. The first time, we were served a three course meal. Both the salmon and the steak dishes were excellent. But my favorite was by far the dessert--a cheesecake mousse dish that melted in your mouth. The second time was a larger event, so was a buffet style. Still very good, but didn't compare to the first. And the dessert was very disappointing--a plate of cookie and cakes, none of them very memorable.

Have been going to Nauvoo since it opened as it is in the neighborhood. Nauvoo has always had its ups and downs but tonight was terrible. Service was poor to the point where they stopped taking orders and wouldn't do appetizers.
Sat for 20 minutes waiting for drinks.
When food finally arrived it was dry and slapped together.
Sat for another 20 minutes waiting for the server to take our credit card for a terrible meal.
Very disappointing.

We decided to come in during Jersey Shore Restaurant Week because they offered an awesome $22 3-course meal, with weekends included! (Most restaurants make you sit before 7pm and some exclude Friday/Saturday).
Our server was Dakota who was outstanding.
I ordered one of the local IPA's - definitely a bit pricey at $8 but it was very good. A Blue Moon was $6 and a glass of house wine was $8, so drinks aren't cheap.
I went with the Meatball Crostini appetizer, the meatball was very good, the crostini was kind of non existent which was fine for me. I also got a chance to try the eggplant

This was my 3rd time dining here, 1st review. I like this place. Each visit was here a different dining experience. All pleasant. Good quality food. Never had a bad service experience and I like the atmosphere.
Arrived a little after 6pm on a Wednesday with my wife and 2 toddler children. Not crowded at all. Restaurant has 2 parking lots and I think across the street is an overflow. I was able to park in the main lot. Exterior is fitting to the area. Great rustic architecture. You pass by and you are immediately intrigued. You want to eat here or at least have a glimpse at the interior.

Great bar with a piano player on Friday nights. They offer tons of specials during the week. Lots to pick from on the menu. The burgers were delicious. We started with the calamari salad, spinach and artichoke dip and spring rolls. Everything was good.
Stop in on a Sunday or Monday for half price burgers. Tues and Thursday half price glasses of wine.
