Every year, it takes extra time, extra study, and extra investment to receive Board Certification. For example, if we catch a cavity early, a special resin will limit its growth. If we get it even earlier, a topical medication will stop it. Best of all, a mouth swab - when your child is very young - tells us unique ways to treat unique problems.
And that means your kid may never have a cavity. At Giggles and Grins, we use an "open bay" concept that accommodates several children at once. It takes the fear away because they model each other. Parents are sometimes a little amazed when their child - as young as three - walks back with one of our trained specialists all by themselves.

Services
That's not a catch-phrase. Years ago, the pediatric dentists at Giggles and Grins decided to implement "Board Certification" to raise the level of care they provide. Here's a closer look at how they're different. Born in Fort Stockton, Texas (aka the Wild, Wild West), Dr. Sandra Armstrong grew up in a succession of small towns.
The answer's the same, in every field of medicine, across all specialties. The doctors who provide the latest tech and the newest approaches are pursuing higher knowledge. Constantly. In many cases, their ongoing quest is measured and validated by their peers.
Board-certified dentists are voluntary "lifelong learners", constantly tested to meet and maintain this standard of excellence - even though it requires an annual investment of time and money. It's not easy, and it's not average. Less than 20% of all dentists are board-certified. Here are a few of the benefits your kids will gain from these higher standards.

You can tell the difference as soon as you walk in the door. According to Dr. Amy Watts, The thing that surprises parents is how much fun their children have. We make sure everybody realizes immediately this is a happy place. Dr. Sandra Armstrong adds, There's no drill-and-fill sound. No funky dental smell.
Why would a parent bring their teenage child to Giggles and Grins? Dr. Watts has a theory: Our Board Certification - the extra tests, the extra training - helps us provide the highest level of care. Honestly, we push ourselves to be the best. To Dr. Armstrong, it's about forging a lasting connection.
Dr. Capeci agrees. Years ago in dental school, I had the opportunity to shadow a pediatric who specialized in special-needs patients. I fell in love with the compassionate care that he gave them. He managed to meet their medical needs while making them feel as comfortable as possible. And it was inspiring - and educational - to see how they responded to him as a result.

My 9 year old son fell on the stairs while playing with his friends this past Friday afternoon and chipped over half of his front tooth, and was in a lot of pain. We tried to contact our family dentist and did not hear from him for over 24 hours. My son was in so much pain. Fortunately, Giggles and Grins called me back early Saturday morning. I was able to send a picture of his tooth, and because of the severity (nerve was exposed), they seen him right away. Dr. Watts placed composite on the broken tooth, and sent my son’s info to an Endodontics office so they could see us ASAP. Dr. Watts and

I absolutely loved our entire experience at Giggles & Grins and would 100% recommend this office to anyone with children! My son was seen originally by a different pediatric dental office and I was not happy with them. A friend referred us here and I IMMEDIATELY felt better about the whole situation with my son's dental issues. The dentist was kind, made sure to communicate with my son and make him feel comfortable (he is 1 yr old so this was very important to me, as the previous place did not do this), and extremely informative if the whole situation and made me feel better about the decisions

My girls come from a family with bad teeth so we have experienced quite a few dentist visits with bad news. My older one had a cavity filled and my younger one had 3 crowns put on today. This could have gone badly. They both came out of the treatment rooms with smiles on their faces and they can't wait to go back to the dentist!! I don't know how the doctors at Giggles and Grins do it but they take the best care of my kids and make them want to go back. Such a stress free experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this dental practice. They have been so easy to work with and compassionate to our family. Our 16 year old son is low verbal with severe autism. He cannot do in-office procedures, and had a seriously large back molar cavity within a millimeter of the root. They quickly facilitated an outpatient hospital procedure where his tooth was ultimately safely extracted under anesthesia. We are so grateful to them for helping him. All the dentists in the practice are so friendly and caring - easy to talk to and explain things so well. We recommend this practice to EVERYONE

I have been bringing my boys there for the past year and a half and we have always had a great experience! I have a 5 year old who goes back by himself and actually cheers when I say we have to go to the dentist because he’s so excited. My 1 and 2 year old aren’t as excited but the dentist always does a great job keeping them calm and making sure they have a good visit.

My experience here has been nothing below amazing! The entire staff takes great care of my daughter and her teeth and always makes sure to go over any concerns in detail. I really appreciate that they take their time and are always super friendly and eager to assist me when needed. It is so hard to find a trustworthy and loving place that checks all of my boxes, but this is one office I will keep my daughter at. Thank you everyone for sharing your love!

G&G took such amazing care of my 4 year old! She had fillings done and they went over and above what was discussed in our initial consultation. We are cash paying and they worked with me to be able to pay for this and I’m very thankful for them. My daughter enjoyed her visits and looks forward to them! That makes a mommas heart happy. Thank you!
