My name is Ralph Swan Jr., I am the owner and licensed professional home inspector for Swan Home Inspections. I am a Houston native, and I love my city! Before starting Swan Home Inspections, I served in the United States Navy for four years on the USS Nimitz (CVN-68). I am very proud of my service and also very thankful for the service of others and the families that support them.
This is our typical home inspection that catches common defects so you understand the investment you're making. A Thermal Imaging Inspection of the home is very important to help find moisture intrusion, insulation deficiencies, areas of energy loss and electrical "hot spots". Ralph was very professional and accessible throughout the home inspection process. He also was able to fit us into his schedule quickly so that the inspection could be completed on the first day of our option period. His inspection was very thorough and the report contained pictures and video clips of the deficiencies that were found. I will definitely recommend Ralph to others needing a home inspection, and should the need arise I would confidently hire him again to inspect a home for me.

If I was rich enough to buy a lot of houses, I would use Ralph to inspect all of them! He is professional and very thorough. He definitely puts 110% into his work and doesn’t miss a beat. Ralph Swan did a fantastic job! He was extremely professional and thorough. We did a preliminary walk-through of our new-build house the day before with the builder. I really thought my eagle-eyed wife and I caught all the flaws...no sir! Ralph found many more small and some major issues we overlooked. His report was extremely detailed and ready the next day. We are very satisfied with Swan Home Inspections. We plan to use his services for our 1 year follow up with the builder. I was a little hesitant to spend the money for an inspection on a new-build but it totally with it!!

I hired Ralph on the recommendation of another inspector. Ralph was diligent and well organized in finding and reporting various issues ranging from ac leaks in the drywall/ceiling, leaky faucets, improper grading in the yard, etc...
I also called him for a second inspection in which he identified issues that were resolved as well as issues pending.
I would recommend him and/or call upon his services in the future.

I WISH I'D HIRED SWAN HOME INSPECTIONS SOONER!
I hired Swan Home Inspections as I was approaching the one year mark on my new home to catch any issues my builder needed to fix before my my warranty period expired. I wish I'd hired them for the walk through of my house a year ago!
Ralph was extremely professional and incredibly thorough and brought a number of issues to my attention I would not have noticed on my own. He wasn't alarmist about anything, but simply stated the facts about the issues and what type of professional to hire to have the issues repaired.
