I am forever grateful for this place! The laser hair removal, chemical peels and Maxine’s product line has my skin in the best shape ever. This place is just okay especially for Fishtown. I went there a while back and it's like a mediocre Med Spa especially if you compare it to a more prestigious and gorgeous looking Med Spas like La Chelè Med Spa out in Newtown area.
Even En Vogue Med Spa out in Southampton, or Enigma on Red Lion Rd, or even Revive Med Spa on N.2nd St. offers way more services than this place and treatment rooms look nicer.
Their rooms look unprofessional to a degree with poor looking cabinets and carts that look disorganized and unsanitary.

If you have any skin issues call MAXINE. She is amazing at getting your skin flawless at no time. Maxine is very passionate about skin care and her staffs are nice and pleasant. I used to have horrible acne and acne scars but now my skin have improved drastically after coming to Maxine. She also has good skin care products that actually help with hyperpigmentation, acne and other skin issues.

I paid a large amount of money for a horrible experience getting a chemical peel and comedone extraction done by Maxine. First she was too rough doing my comedone extraction. She extracted pimples near and around my bottom lip that caused my lip to be swollen for 3 weeks. Second the chemical peel had an overwhelming burning sensation that caused her to wash it off my face very early. At the end of my treatment I was trying to learn more about her products and she walked away in the middle of our conversation.I was blown away by the amount of unprofessionalism that was displayed so I kindly left

Went to MaxAesthetics for the first time yesterday for an eyebrow wax. Maxine provided this service. I am very happy with the results and also really enjoyed the visit. Maxine was professional but also very friendly. The offices were clean and comfortable and the atmosphere was relaxing. I will go back!

Maxine is a Goddesses!!!! Have been coming to her for over a year now and I am never disappointed with my results. My skin has never looked better and continues to flourish with each customized skin treatment recommended by the lovely Maxine! She is warm and genuine and you can really tell she loves her craft & cares about her clients. I suffered from severe cystic acne and severe acne scars/pick marks. After a few micro needling and microdermabrasion sessions I am 100% acne free and my skin has never felt smoother. My acne scars/pock marks are about 85% gone. I continue to get regular facials

So Yelp - I find it very interesting that you hide reviews under "not recommended". One of my friends has been to Maxine and loved her, left a review but it's listed under "not recommend" by Yelp. Why is this? I have been to more than one company who tell me that if you don't advertise with Yelp, they hide reviews. Hmmmmn
It's a shame because I like to use Yelp for recommendations but would like real recommendations. Even sadder that small business suffer as a result. I bet Yelp either deletes or hides this review...

I have had many ipl in nyc. This one i did face and neck for $300 total and the entire procedure took 15 min. What a rip off. DO NOT GO HERE. The technician was nice but this place is a rip off and doesn't work. I wish there was a complaint department cuz if the machine works then it def takes longer as my other treatments have. I guess u get what u pay for. 1/2 price = 1/2 results.

I have been going to MaxAesthetics for years and I can't say enough about the treatments I've received. No matter what my issue, Maxine always customizes my treatments - and varies the intensities - based on my skin at the time/day of my visit. (I am in my mid 40s.)
I go in and tell her I feel dry, or my skin looks dull, and she always knows what combination of treatments I would benefit from the most. Sometimes it's Microdermabrasion, a few extractions and a skin brightener, or maybe it's a laser treatment, and a light peel. I never know what she is going to do, but my input

I bought a groupon for the IPL.
Warning-DO NOT GET IPL
I have had several treatments from other places and have never been burned.
I should have known something was wrong when gel was not applied as the barrier between the laser and the skin.
I do not know about their other treatments, but my advise is DO NOT GET THE IPL.
