Lisa grew up in Novi, Michigan, and she currently lives in Howell. Lisa was a dental assistant for 5 years while she attended Oakland Community College for Dental Hygiene. She has been a hygienist at Brighton Healthy Smiles since 2010. Lisa has been married to Mike for 15 years; they have 2 boys - Hunter, 13, and Gavin, 10.
At Brighton Healthy Smiles, we offer a wide variety of dental services to meet your needs. Our dental team also works closely with area specialists who may be involved in your care. Like the American Dental Association, we recommend a dental cleaning and exam every six months to maintain oral health and identify problems early.
Dental cleanings involve removing plaque (soft, sticky, bacteria-infested film) and tartar (calculus) deposits that have built up on the teeth over time. Your teeth are continually bathed in saliva, which contains calcium and other substances that help strengthen and protect the teeth. As a result, we tend to get a build-up of calcium deposits on the teeth.
The examination of your mouth begins with an oral cancer screening. Your dentist will examine your cheeks, lips, tongue, floor of mouth, roof of mouth, and gums for any abnormal findings. Then, a thorough examination of your teeth is done to detect dental problems including decay, periodontal disease, orthodontic concerns, and other pathology.

I went back to this place because it was my childhood care dentist. I had a consultation at 8am and walked in and asked to wait outside to be texted and did so. The moment I walked out I was texted and walked back in only to be laughed at by the office technicians. Upon exit I was given my bill and would happily pay it, but all the information on my outtake form wasn’t correct nor did they ask me previous to my visit for my info. I scheduled a follow up but they were very unprofessional over the phone as well saying that “a crown is expensive” when asking for a quote before the appointment

Such an amazing Practice, thank you everyone so much!! Everyone is so kind and so helpful I can’t recommend them enough!! I have raging anxiety about the dentist and Lisa was so kind, patient and considerate while cleaning my teeth, I feel a million times more at ease with coming in. Dr. Eick is just a dream. She is everything you could want, kind, honest, and an amazing Doctor. From the ladies at the front through the whole service everyone just puts you at ease and is so helpful. Suddenly I had tooth pain. They got me in that day. That day! No wait! Dr. Birchmeier examined my tooth and determined I needed a root canal and a crown. They sent me across the street to get the root canal. That very day! So tooth pain was more or less gone. They got me fitted for the crown and all was well within 3 weeks. This one was a back tooth, so porcielen wasn't an option. But earlier in the year I had a front tooth that needed a crown. They made it of porcielen that day and installed it immediately. They're fast and they're friendly. They know exactly what they're doing and they do it

Dr. Eick, the hygienists and the front desk staff are wonderful!! They are always so nice to see, and make sure your visit is the best it can be. They are great with children too, they’ve seen my 2 year old for his 6 month checkups since he was 1. They are always so patient with him, and are just so sweet with him. I would 100% recommend them to anyone! They also do a fantastic job to help keep everyone safe and healthy during the pandemic.

This dental office is absolutely amazing! My daughters were very overdue for their first dental appointment and after doing research and also getting good reviews from my parents I set up appointments for their first appointment. The staff is so friendly and wonderful with kids, and Dr Birchmeier was wonderful with them as well. He told us one of them had 3 cavities which needed to be taken care of and we were able to get all 3 of them done within the next following month. I am super happy that I found Dr. Birchmeier. He is very compassionate and he got me into see him before the holiday so I would not suffer for weeks in pain. He is very gentle and kind. He explained everything and figured out why I was in pain. I am glad he diagnosed me correctly and thankful his treatment worked. He and his staff are very patient and kind.
