Moniques Bath Showroom
We are all saddened by the loss of one of Monique's founders and an industry pioneer, Richard Battista who recently passed away after months of medical complications. Richard was a licensed plumber and always dreamed of opening his own bath showroom which he did in the 70's. The only other showroom around at that time was Brickmans in Waltham, MA.

Many years later, Richard and two of his brothers, Vinny and Bobby, founded Moniques as you know it today. Originally in Waltham, with an outlet in the Arsenal Mall Moniques was expanded into the current showroom in Watertown, MA. Richard always had a flair for design and loved making peoples remodeling dreams come true.

Our contractor sent us here when we redid two bathrooms. The salesman wasn't helpful at all and couldn't answer any of my questions. He convinced me that everyone uses "toe tap" drains in their bathtubs now and that it would be just as good as a regular drain. He was wrong. It drains very slowly and is constantly breaking. It's too late to change to a regular drain - we'd have to re-plumb the bathroom. Also the reviewer above who said they sell superior, non-plastic parts is wrong. The toe tap drain is plastic on the inside.

I'm a little puzzled, in the age of the internet, why anyone would order from a showroom instead of either a) getting a product from a supplier who has the product in stock, or b) ordering the product online for 20% less. At any rate, the staff are friendly and the showroom is nice, so it's not a total loss.
