I'm super bummed that this spot was such a let down. 25 mandatory valet, to start. All the bars including the rooftop( which is why I booked this spot) are closed. When I got in I tried to ask the staff what was going on and they told me to get bent. Also I was probably I of 5 people staying here on 12/26/2021 and I purchased the most expensive room and they put me on floor 1 facing the Wendy's drive through. Thanks so much you all, really killing it

Upon a late return to the city I did not fell like driving the whole way home after spending most of my day in the air or at other airports. I knew I would feel this way before leaving so I booked my stay hear well in advance. With my flight landing after 9 and having to get through the airport and out of the lot I was a rather late check in here. But not to worry, they were ready for me.
Biggest headache here, parking. Being in the Lawrenceville section of the sitting, parking is always a nightmare. They do have a lot where they charge to park, or you can attempt to find a spot somewhere

I booked a two bed room for a wedding. Upon arrival I was notified I would be receiving a 1 king bed room. This made accommodations hard for my family of three.
Additionally, the room was incredibly small. The only place to sit was the bed. Only one of three family members could stand or move about the room the room at a time due to the size and layout of the room.
Finding parking was a challenge. The hotel did offer $25 valet parking.
Additionally, I was told there was a discounted rate for a wedding which I was told I would receive upon checking. I did not receive the rate.

The restaurants look decent but I haven't tried them yet - tried to go to the bar on a Friday night but everything closed down at 10. I like the industrial chic look and suppose the hotel would be okay for night or two but:
1) Housekeeping is very sub-par. The room was a bit gross when we arrived: the nightstand was covered in dust, there were drips of something on the edges of the bathroom countertop, and the wall near the toilet was splattered with something. I cleaned it all with a disinfectant wipe myself. Housekeeping is by request only. We asked them to change the sheets, they just

I don't quite understand why this place has horrible reviews, but I guess every experience is different. I'll start with all the goods because there were a lot.
This place had extremely friendly staff. Loved the receptionists and the valets. All were polite and enjoyable to talk to. The building itself is really cool and well renovated. We got the room we booked and it wasn't nearly as tiny as some are saying. It's not lavish and giant but it was plenty of space for two of us and our two dogs. Beds were very comfy. Our room came with a small fridge and tiny freezer which was

I booked a room for 3 night for a family wedding months ago. It took 4 calls to get my check in and out dates correct. Last call was to corporate office to get it correct. On check in, room had no chair only a stool that looked similar to what my family used to milk cows in the 50s and 60s. No refrigerator or micro wave. There was a major event that was not the hotels fault but management 's response fell flat on their face. Power went out while I was in elevator. There were no emergency lighting in stairwells. I've had better services at a Holiday Inn Express. There are many more issues. Will

From the start I knew this was going to be more than an unpleasant experience. Sorry the room you reserved is unavailable we are overbooked, all with such attitude. And that is my fault why? We got a dorm room/closet for the same cost; upon entering noticed a wet spot on the floor, I cleaned it up to notice it was back immediately; leak from the ceiling/AC. Sorry they said and moved us to another room next to an equipment closet. The AC fan runs nonstop with this every 10 second vibration as mentioned in other posts. I swear it was the kind of noise that makes your eardrums want to scream after

I drove 4 1/2 hours on a Friday to this hotel after a long day of work. We arrived at 11:30 to be informed our prepaid room was no longer available as they were sold out. "Sorry sir. We over booked" Manager offered a Days Inn 10 miles away for free. When I asked about the area, "There are worse neighborhoods. You wouldn't get shot in the parking lot." Thanks, but no thanks.
I believe that the best way to judge an establishment is how they handle issues when things go wrong. The person who helped us at checking wasn't too helpful, but was honest. The assistant manager

Nice atmosphere. Used to be a school building and has history. Local mural is cool too. Went to Drag Bingo and had a blast! Parking was $10 valet or across the street at the decent sized rite aid parking lot. Main entrance is around the side, revolving doors. Good bar and bar tender was awesome with cocktails. Didn't get her name tho, RIP. Will go again.

This was utter disappointment. Granted, the view is amazing. Service was good. Drink was generous. But host was rude, barely looked at us or smiled. But the biggest disappointment was the food. There were 2 options for entrées: mixed grill for $60 and ribs for $80. We opted for mixed grill and Brussel sprouts ($13). I have rarely gone to a restaurant that charges you this much to serve you reheated meat on a platter of rice. The mixed grill consisted of Indian flavored dry grilled chicken, a couple reheated merguez sausages and some reheated pieces of tough meat. Accompanying sauces were good

Totally love this location, view and ambiance. Large cocktail list a lot of beer. Outside inside rooftop. Bartenders are nice, they sure could lighten up. I've worked in fast pace high end cocktail bar I get it though. It's tough. But bartenders do a good job handling a bar. My only thing is the wine pours... I know standard is 5 oz most places do 5-6. My wine goes so quickly here so is it me or they pour short on their pours? Might be me but I just want to make sure my rose is up to par-say.

The concept is modern and interesting but the entire implementation falls apart. The shower and beds are subpar, they don't have foods (just snacks at the bar) and the general location is run down and not central. This is a money grab by Wyndham exploiting the brand of their more luxury properties for an over-priced minimal hotel .

So here's the thing, while I do tend to like the style of hotel the TRYP (I still don't understand the name, Trip with a Y? All caps?) was trying way to hard to be cool and seemed to have opened before it was ready.
Pros:
- Beds were comfortable
- Rooftop bar has a really nice view (though it's hours are limited and you can't just go up for the view)
- Walking distance to a cute neighborhood
Cons:
- Rooms are small (which was less of a problem since I was in the room by myself, but I can see how having another person in the room would be tight)
- Sliding bathroom

Newly remodeled but understaffed. This was an old school building that Wyndham must have gotten cheap with tax incentives. It was ok for a night but way too expensive, 286.00 with taxes and parking.
They break it down on the bill...15.00 for valet, 10.00 for parking. The lobby bar wasn't open, and breakfast was not well organized and haphazard.
$170 a night would have been reasonable, not $229. The rain shower some people like, I don't.
Most have an alternative, this one didn't. Rooftop bar looked okay, but didn't open until 5 pm, and closed by midnight. Staff was nice.

My parents stayed here recently and their experience was average. The hotel is beautiful and the rooftop bar is gorgeous. They are incredibly disorganized, however, and the menu is not what I would have expected considering the bottom floor restaurant still hasn't opened yet. Also, the hotel rooms are very small and the bathroom is open concept. It would be fine so long as you stay with a significant other, which isn't always the case. I'm happy to see a beautiful boutique hotel pop up in my neighborhood, but I think they still need to work through some issues.

This wonderful hotel opened a week ago in the Lawrenceville area, with reclaimed finishes from when it was a trade school. The basketball court wood elevator area is very cool. The bed was super comfy, the shower is fancy, the whole space was just neat and artsy. We loved it. A double queen was $150.
