Kyrk Pyros first saw the hotel 17 years ago. He was told about it's rich history and knew it had potential. He thought that under the right leadership, and with an efficient team, it could be restored to it's former glory. Since then, Kyrk and his team have worked tirelessly towards that end. The Al Capone suite offers an extravagant living room with a leather couch, work desk, coffee table, and flat screen tv. The bedroom is equipped with a firm queen size bed, dresser, and full closet. The room also features a clear view of downtown Washington PA. This is the suite Marilyn Monroe stayed in when she visited Washington PA.
Our Ambassador Suite offers a king sized bed with upgraded high-thread count linens. The room features a separate seating area, a flat screen tv, a mini fridge, and a large bathtub. Enjoy an evening, or two, in this incredibly comfortable and classic suite. The view of downtown Washington PA is fantastic as well.

I highly recommend the George Washington Hotel to any couple. It was clear to me as soon as we walked through on our initial tour that the venue is unique, beautiful, historic, well preserved and maintained. We used the George Washington for our entire wedding weekend – our ceremony rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding day prep, ceremony, reception, after party, hotel rooms, and breakfast following morning. They executed extremely well at every single event! They were eager to accommodate my detail oriented plans and truly wanted us to have the wedding of our dreams. The venue and their set up

First I would like to say, the hotel staff was great. The hotel itself is in dire need of updating. The beds were so uncomfortable. We asked the front desk to remove a dirty wash cloth from shower. Front desk said it was recleaned, but wash cloth still in shower. The bathroom was so small. I could hear from across the hall someone snoring. I get that the hotel is very old but for the price of rooms, not worth the money.

My company provided DJ, video, photo, a d photo booth for a boutique.wessing a the George Washington last week. Anita, Erica, and the rest of the staff were accommodating, kind, and extremely professional. I highly recommend the George Washington hotel for couples looking for a one stop venue to have their ceremony and reception.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and venue! We stayed here for a wedding. Food, staff and drinks were incredible!
Our room was small and cramped and the king size bed we had was terrible! It had two deep indentations on either side with a hump in the middle. Very small bathroom and the ac never got cool enough so my husband and I were both sweating all night.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party at The George Washington. First off, the hotel is beautiful and so full of history, which we loved. Every room has its own unique character and vibe. In addition, we had the entire hotel to ourselves with a different part of the event in a different event room so it had the feel of an ongoing celebration. Our guests loved the convenience and rolling fun of the day. Lastly, you will not find a more down-to-earth and invested staff! Erica and her team were so competent and invested in us throwing a wonderful event

We just photographed a wedding there tonight and the staff were excellent to work with. They treated the vendors like gold and were amazing with the guests as well. Erica was truly a joy to work with and the food was crazy good. My wife had the eggplant and I had the steak. Pretty sure the steak was so tender it actually melted in my mouth. As a venue I cannot recommend them enough.

I frequent this hotel as a wedding DJ and have stayed there in the past. It is a building with rich history and charm located in the heart of Washington, PA. I personally have had nothing but great experiences. I am also writing this review to give a big shout out to the great vendors that are at the heart of this operation. If it was not for them, the place would not be what it is. From the great food to the ambience, the George Washington never disappoints. Lia Capito has been the banquet manager I primarily work with when I'm there. She has always been accommodating and helpful to me leading

We had such an AMAZING time at the George Washington Hotel! check in was easy and smooth, the room was really big and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. I had the best dirty martini at the Half Note Bar, flowed by one of the most delicious crab cakes I've ever eaten. We will definitely be staying here again when we go down to Winchester!
