Child custody and visitation issues are one of the most daunting topics that must be addressed in a divorce or in situations involving unmarried parents. The prospect of dividing the time you spend with your children is emotional on its own. It is further complicated due to the ways that custody arrangements can impact child support and the financial situations of both parents.
As your marriage ends, your financial future will begin to come into view. Will you require money from your spouse to get by? Will your spouse seek payments from you? Equally as important is the issue of child support - what type of financial arrangement will ensure there is enough money to provide for your children?
The Service Law Offices is a well-known resource for divorcing clients in Missouri. From our Kansas City office - conveniently located in the heart of the Jazz District at the corner of 18th and Vine - we serve clients in the metro area and throughout the surrounding region. Child custody and visitation: Of all the issues in a divorce, custody, and visitation are often the most hotly contested and emotionally charged.
Missouri is an equitable division state, meaning assets in a divorce will be divided in a way that a judge deems to be fair (equitable). Fair does not necessarily mean a 50-50 split. Due to the fact that a judge's determination of what is fair will ultimately decide how your assets are divided, you need to have an insightful attorney advocating for you and show the judge what you believe would be a fair split of your property.
The Service Law Offices offers assertive, results-focused representation to those charged with felonies and misdemeanors in the Kansas City Metro area and surrounding Missouri counties. We are heavily involved in making our community a better place, and we believe that one of the best ways to do that is to ensure that everyone receives the legal representation they need.

Great lawyer and definitely works with you. Love the environment in the office with the rest of the staff. The location was easy to find as well. I highly recommend using them for your custody case.

Do not go to this lawyer firm. They never return calls. When you paid them thousands of dollars and don't get callbacks. Been having your money for two months. Saying they sent papers to child support but child support not responding. A state agency??? They only respond to all the good reviews but not the bad ones. When you have to do your own legal work after you pay a lawyer. This is not the place to go!

This lawyer lied to us from the start just to get our money he promised us that he could win our case with no problem but instead of doing his job he relied on his legal aide and secretary to do it for him.We gave them several reputable references but he did not even try to contact any of them, they asked for medical records but never gave them to the judge which he asked for several times.they didn't even let us know when court dates were we were only notified when court was happening we also asked him to make sure that the judge talked to the children personally he assured us that he would make

The choice of an attorney is an important decision! If you are looking for integrity and respect, keep looking you will not find it here!
I couldn’t agree more with the other comment! “This attorney spends a lot of time telling you how wonderful he is and then does absolutely nothing.” He called the night before trial to get details pertaining to my case, after I spent countless hours pulling all details together in a notebook for him and requesting numerous meetings to review. All of which were cancelled after I took off work and drove over 20 miles one to attend. I drafted and sent to

This attorney spends a lot of time telling you how wonderful he is and then doing absolutely nothing. They still have a filing fee of mine though they never filed anything. I requested a refund but have heard nothing from them. Do not waste your time or money here!

So thankful for the help in my custody case by Mr. Service. Henry was nothing but up front and kept it real about every situation so I knew what to expect in court. His paralegal Jessica was top notch! She answered every question and addressed every concern I had threw the entire process and has even reached out to check on my family and I even after we were done. I felt extremely comfortable and was able to come with my children and they were made comfortable in the office as well. Hopefully don't have to ever use a lawyer again but if I do IT WILL BE Service Law!!!

Mr. Service successfully resolved my business ownership dispute. He was able to strategically debunk the other party and the case was dismissed in less than an hour. There was no doubt in the judge's mind that the other parties were liars and thieves. If someone stole from you or lied on you, and you have proof, Mr. Service can help bring them to justice.

Had an 11am consultation. Arrived at 10:50am. Around 11:15 I ask if I should reschedule, receptionist says no he's coming up the stairs. 11:25 I hear her call him on speakerphone, this man says I'm still in the chair, (at the barber shop.) Tell him to fill out the paperwork and that I'm on my way. I told the receptionist I'll just find someone else. I could understand if a client ran over but getting a haircut? When this appointment had been scheduled since Monday, you wait until I'm supposed to be there to go get a haircut. NO SENSE OF PROFESSIONALISM.

Poor service. Overcharged. Always forgetting to file paperwork or files inaccurate paperwork. Had to go to the office if you wanted answers, they would wait days or weeks to return calls and emails. Lawyer doesn't show up for court. In the end we won our case but even the judge said (on one of the occassions the lawyer didn't turn up)we could have done this one on our own and saved our money. But he had already been paid in full.
