True Built Home was founded by Lewis Mann. He previously worked with HiLine Homes for more than three years as an independent contractor, selling their homes and learning the business (1998-2002). Later, he went on to co-found Reality Homes and worked there for three years.

An ADU / DADU (or accessory dwelling unit), can also be known as a backyard cottage, accessory apartment, carriage house, mother-in-law suite, or granny flat. Whatever term you use, this type of smaller home is usually an additional living space located on the same piece of property as an existing home.
Rambler home plans, or single-story homes (also known as "ranch style" homes), are ideal for those who cannot or simply don't want to use stairs. Generally, they are the most popular choice for building sites where the size of the house 'footprint' is not an issue. Most of our ramblers can easily be modified to have rooms added, modified, or removed at your request.
Multi-level home plans are ideal for smaller lots where you may have constraints on the size of your house 'footprint'. True Built Home multi-level, or two-story floor plans are designed for those who want to maximize their square footage by moving their living and sleeping space 'up' instead of 'out'.

Called looking for details on getting a feasibility study done on some land. I was transferred to Joe. I left a message explaining my needs, when he returned my call I was busy so he talked to my wife. I wasnt there for the conversation but she used to words "unhelpful" and "abrasive" to describe him. A few days later I had a follow up call from an Andy who I explained the situation to and while he did sound genuinely sorry and surprised to hear about the troubles my wife had I no longer felt comfortable using their services and I am currently looking into using a different builder. Called the Tacoma branch and spoke to Joe just making inquiries. Joe was friendly, professional and very helpful even though he knew they couldn’t help me with the project I am looking to build. Before I hung up the short call, I got information I needed and a contact for a designer. What a good service! I can’t imagine how helpful they would be building homes!

Dave Culp, a True Built project manager, was a huge asset to my home build project. He was great to work with: approachable, responsive, friendly, customer-focused and helpful. As the first customer for True Built's Seaview model, I was expecting some unpleasant surprises since there was bound to be a learning curve. To True Built's credit, the building process was remarkably smooth and the end result is an amazingly beautiful home. My experience working with the team in the Tacoma office is that they are very competent and truly care about doing a quality job.
