Brian Merkel D.D.S. offers a full array of dental services to help you maintain healthy teeth. We are a mercury free office and follow IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology) guidelines. Dr. Merkel has been practicing dentistry for over twenty years and takes great pride in being a skilled technician. First earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Oakland University in 1976, Dr. Merkel then decided to go to dental school. Enrolling in the University of Michigan Dental School, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984.
Our mission is to provide our patients with the highest quality dental care in the most caring of atmospheres. Your dental health is important to us, as well as the health of your entire body. Being well-prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you.

I'd use mine for Dr. Merkel.
Have you ever seen the "Painless Dentistry" sign? Dr. Merkel lives up to that promise. Today, I had an old silver filling (left over from a hack childhood dentist) replaced. I didn't feel a thing and never have with Dr. Merkel.
He's:
- the consummate professional
- he's thoughtful about his patients
- his work is meticulous
- he's a nice guy
