Rogers McCagg Architects, Planners, Interior Designers was established in 2016 when Chris McCagg, long time principal at James G. Rogers Architects joined Jim as an owner of the firm. The name not only recognizes Chris' new role but also more fully describes our services.
The origins of Rogers McCagg began more than 40 years ago when Jim Rogers along with Partners Jonathan Butler and Charles Baskett, founded Butler Rogers Baskett Architects in New York.As the practice grew Jim Rogers acquired the Connecticut office of BRB and established James G. While a primary focus is the aesthetic outcome of our projects, we are constantly weighing possible design solutions with their seamless integration into the architectural context.
Chris' passion for architecture is instinctive, having evolved since his early teen years. An exceptional designer and intuitive architect, his focus lies in the art of balance, practical detailing and architectural expression by way of context, spatial flow, natural light, and scale. Chris earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University.
