Las Colibri or "The Hummingbirds, " have a passion for music, beauty, and girl power. These women are flying into new territory as one of the most unique ensembles of its genre by returning to the all-string instrumentation of the early 20th century mariachi tradition and the colorful, feminine costumes of the Mexican cinematic divas of the 40's and 50's.
It includes visual arts, dance, live music, film, all happening simultaneous throughout various spaces. The upcoming February Sleepless theme is Quinceanera, we'll be celebrating the coming of age tradition of women. We will welcome the Spring of 2019 with a lineup of performers that will blow your mind!

WONDERFUL mariachi! We hired them for our daughter's quinceañera. All of our guest truly enjoyed their performance. The mariachi created a great atmosphere. Great costumer service and very professional. I highly recommended this mariachi and will definitely hire again whenever we have another opportunity.

We had the pleasure of hearing these amazing ladies on Saturday. They don't sing the classics, they celebrate them! My wife's grandfather wrote Paso del Norte so I don't say that lightly. I felt tears welling up in my eyes and my heart filling with pride. Extremely talented musicians with a passion only dedicated females can bring that rival all male mariachi. You must hear this phenomenal group of ladies.

Posting this, I felt hesitant but then thought, "Well if my review can help in anyway, then maybe I should". Whether it's helping a customer decide or if this review gives the company feedback they can work on.
On 10/31-I had emailed Susie, the Executive Director, inquiring on performing at my wedding (which is 8 months away).
She responded back that day, with a template email showing prices but I had a follow up question as her email said, "Additional fee for travel outside LA County".

Giving 2 stars due to the fact that we've reached out to book these ladies and it's been a few days with no response. Super unprofessional. Usually people jump on an inquiry that's willing to pay for your services. Reading the reviews, it seems like this is a occurrence, and maybe someone else should be in charge of the bookings?
We saw these ladies live a few months and loved their performance, its a shame that they are horrible with responding. We will have to go with another mariachi band.

Las Colibrís is known for their musicianship and wonderful show performance! These ladies are definitely worth their higher price. Sadly, my experience with the band manger was not pleasant. She was unable responde in a timely manner and forgot about my contact a couple times. She has a new born at home so all of this is understandable but be aware if planning to book in the next coming months. I canceled and had to go with a traditional mariachi group do to unprofessionalism.

Mariachi Las Colibri performed at a work function I attended a couple years ago and they were a crowd favorite. Their outfits were beautiful and performed songs everyone liked. I hired them for an event I hosted last week and they did not disappoint. They arrived early, were prepared and spoke with our MC to ensure they met our scheduled timeline to the T.

For my wedding on June 11, 2016 I wanted an all women mariachi band. Mariachi Las Colibrí was recommended by a friend. Even tho she recommend them I took a chance by booking them without listening to them live. On the day of the wedding I was blown away by the amazing talent these women have they all looked very professional and very beautiful. They really did an amazing job I highly recommend them for any event. I will most definitely book them again!

Mariachi Las Colibri played at my wedding reception. They were amazing. I have known these girls for a long time and they are always on point. I couldn't imagine not having them a part of my special day. What I love the most is that they are always so done up and professional with bright outfits and nice makeup and hair. They are talented musicians with beautiful voices and they will make any event extra special.

Colibri is made up of all women mariachi band. I took a chance with them and booked them for my wedding May 25. My goal was to have an all female group and they represented very well. During the wedding and afterwards I received so many compliments. All the women looked beautiful and I was so happy. Prior to the wedding they were very professional, every time I emailed Susie she responded quickly, and she returned all my phone calls on a timely matter. I would recommend this group and I would book them again. Thank you Colibri.
