Rader Body Shop, Inc is located in Stilesville, Indiana. Owned and operated by two brothers, Rader Body Shop has always been a family owned business. In 1954 Edwin "Ed" Rader purchased Maynard Robinson's Body Shop building and started his own auto body repair business. Ed made a living repairing and painting cars until his retirement in the late 80's.
Always interested in a challenge, he worked on several Indianapolis 500 cars of Lloyd Ruby, a famous Indy 500 driver. He restored cars for Karl Kizer, who was the first curator of the Indianapolis 500 Museum. The cars Ed rebuilt can still be seen in the Indianapolis 500 Museum today. The talent and artistic ability it takes to restore an automobile to pristine condition was evident in Ed's two sons, Chris and Troy Rader.
