Construction documents convey the building owner's intent and are closely coordinated with the client to ensure that the building design meets their desired goals.
The MEP Engineers have experience designing many open loop and closed loop geothermal systems. Many of the open loop well systems have proven to be the most efficient in the industry. LEED energy models have proven these systems to have 50% or more energy savings over code minimum equipment. Our engineers have experience designing one of the largest closed loop systems in the state of Iowa with over 1000 vertical wells.

From feasibility studies to large-scale apartment complex designs, each project is approached with high quality and high efficiency in mind. MEP was contracted directly by the Dubuque school district and subcontracted the architectural and structural design.
MEP was contracted by BWS Architects to design the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for this 23,000 square foot dental clinic, and also performed LEED energy modeling. The design includes 30 heat pumps, boilers, fluid cooler, server room, and solar thermal water heating system. The HVAC systems include 30 horizontal heat pumps tied to an indoor cooling tower and high efficiency condensing boilers.
