Best Beginnings is a private Early Learning school in Tennessee with three convenient locations in Hixson, East Chattanooga, and Collegedale. Research has shown that many factors play a crucial role in a child's brain development from conception through the first five years. It's now well known that in addition to genes, the richness of a child's early environment will significantly determine later behavior and development. Children in a poor-quality preschool environment tend to engage in more unfocused play, passive and aimless wandering, and aggressive behavior.
Human infants come into the world with a well-organized capacity for adapting to their environment. Much of this capacity is attributable to our unique central nervous system. But the unfolding of the developing brain is not inevitable. It depends on a fostering environment, one that is reasonably stable while at the same time stimulating, responsive, protective, and loving.
Toddlers are stepping out of baby booties and into walking shoes. As they start their first few steps, their imaginations begin to unfold. Their curiosity gives them a great, seemingly unlimited energy and creative potential. We at Best Beginnings channel this energy toward positive and healthy growth of mind, body, and personality.
Best Beginnings' preschool welcomes older two-year-olds and three-year-olds. Our teachers set the stage for this age group by providing many experiences that stimulate preschoolers' senses and curiosity. We know that children learn by doing, and that play is their work.

Both of our kids were at this school and they loved it. The staff is very friendly and Tama does a great job of taking care of day to day activities at the center. Our decision to take the kids out had nothing to do with the daycare and if we had to put them back in somewhere, this would be our first choice.

Shemethia and Tama are great. All of the direct care staff (teachers/attendants) are friendly and have made not only me but my children feel comfortable when there. I appreciate all the activities that they have the kids do... We are constantly getting artwork made. Two or more children get a small discount, not much but it's something. The hours are great since I'm a nurse and they open early enough to bring them before work. Each season, the kids have a photographer who does really nice professional pictures done there. They also let families borrow books that they read in the classroom during

Best Beginnings is owned and tightly operated by a family with 30 continuous years of experience in early childhood education in Chattanooga. To me, that fact alone speaks volumes. The directors of all three locations (Hixson, Chattanooga, and Collegedale) are caring and capable, as are the teachers. The facilities are large (the Collegedale location is some 12,000 square feet) and decorated to engage the imaginations of young children. Each classroom is a different theme based on a USA region or a foreign country. Really neat! Best Beginnings has a strong, age-appropriate curriculum for each child
