Services
Little Village Home Child Care started as a dream, then a vision, to birth in 2013. Its roots come far before that. Little Village Home Child Care started with a little girl at the age of 12 playing school in her bedroom, to tutoring her cousins for 0.25 on Saturday's. At that time, it was called Little Daycare.
LVHCC is enrolled in the CACFP Food Program which ensures food being served to meet the requirements of the USDA. LVHCC provides a vegetarian food option also. All staff members of LVHCC are required to be Serv Safe Certified. This is not a state requirement but an LVHCC requirement implemented by the owner to ensure proper food handling is practiced.
LVHCC chooses an integrated curriculum using Learn Through Play-Based and Creative Curriculum. The purpose of the Creative Curriculum is to meet state objectives of learning through a play-based environment. LVHCC staff chooses an educational theme weekly to bring to life to educate the children. All centers are student-led with teachers still providing help but using open-ended questions to engage with children.
LVHCC has multiple ways of communication to ensure our parents are aware of things and understand that we are an open-communication childcare. LVHCC uses ProCare which is an electronic app to keep parents in the loop daily. Each classroom has its own tablet with ProCare Software on it to upload daily reports of activities such as meals, bathroom times, activities, and observations.

My husband and I had the worst experience with childcare that we have ever had with this place. I will say that the only good thing was we did feel like our children learned a lot. However, the owner is the most unprofessional childcare provider we have ever dealt with. The way she talks to and communicates with the parents is so rude. I wish I could post some of our text communications for people to see. The business was also very unreliable. There was always at least once a month that the daycare was randomly closed and we wouldn’t be notified until that morning an hour before needing childcare

I have has two children attend Little Village Childcare starting at age 2 and now one of those children are now in Kindergarten! We have receiving quality care for many years. The owner Keana Baylis is professional and very passionate about children and learning! I wanted a home childcare provider who had a strong focus on education and this provider is just that! My now Kindergartener became school ready while attending the childcare and I am grateful for that. I have high confidence that my 2nd child who is currently attending will also be kindergarten ready!
