Let me just say, first and foremost, the reason this isn't getting one star is because the customer service is really good. The workers are all so nice... but honey, no. That's not enough to make up for their lackluster acrylic work.
I really think this place is a hit or miss, because a lot of the reviews are extremely divisive. But my day was a miss apparently.

I was interested in getting my nails done here so I contacted to ask questions via phone but I had a hard time communicating with the shop person answering. I inquired if they had Swarovski Crystals because I love them but the person seemed to not understand what I was asking. Possible communication barrier.

I wandered in to Rainbow nails with my daughter and sister-in-law while waiting for a table at Koko Head. I had the absolute best mani- pedi that I've ever had! I live in OC, CA and travel often so I've been to many salons and like I said BEST mani- pedi ever. My daughter had her eyebrows waxed and sister in law had a French manicure. All turned out great

I made an appointment 1 week before for 3 people on Saturday. When I was on my way there I called to confirm and the lady said it was scheduled for Sunday so when we got there we had to wait. I wore my slippers and clip to show them the design I wanted. Before Cathy started doing my mani and pedi I asked if she could do this design she said nod yes. When it was time to do the design she couldn't so I tried telling her but she didn't really speak either so I had to call my sister in law to translate and it's like she didn't want to, understand or just didn't want to

They do full set acrylic and had openings for walk ins. The tech did it in one hour. But it was vary flat with no apex so it looked a little off. She cut my skin while filing it with the emery board which kind of hurt a bit and started bleeding a little. But it still looked better than if I had done it myself.

I have had manicures all over the US and this is legitimately the worst acrylic gel fill I've ever received. I think it was either my nail tech's first day on the job or she was legitimately blind. She filed and dremeled my nails practically to death painted them so sloppily she got paint on my skin that she never removed then filed the tips of my nails AFTER the top coat set so my edges are rough and catching on every bit of fabric I touch. My "ballerina" nails are really just square. Maybe the older, more-experienced techs know what's up but if you go in and get a lady

Ive only come in for pedicures with my boyfriend, we found this place pretty randomly. We always do walk ins and we're always treated with hospitality; another plus is the atmosphere the white curtains and color scheme for this place helps me relax I would describe it light and airy. The pedicure process is also very pleasant not very painful and they take they're time to give you a good foot massage. the ladies have a great sense of humor and you gotta love that personable experience ! I would recommend 10/10 at least for the pedicure. Next time I'll have to get my fill here too

This is definitely my go-to salon! I used to be a regular at another salon, but felt like they never really cared what I wanted or didn't feel like a valued customer :( one day I decided to pop in to rainbow nails to have something fixed, when I met Kelly! She's definitely the sweetest and so so helpful! Since that day, I haven't gone anywhere else for my pedicures or full sets/fills, and the occasional eyebrow waxing!!
Also during COVID, I feel totally safe there as they ask you to sanitize your hands and take your temperature upon arrival! I definitely recommend checking out rainbow

I've been getting gel manicures from Emily that are honestly the best I've had! The salon takes every measure to be COVID safe, including temp checks at the door, hand sanitizer, barriers for manis and keeping doors open. I've tried a lot of salons in town and Emily is simply the best! She is very attentive, takes her time making my nails look perfect and gives an awesome neck and shoulder massage. Since nail salons are open again, I wanted to give myself a spa day on my day off. Was in the Waialae area and tried 2 different salons (but they were busy) and we came across rainbow nails because they had openings for walk ins. Got the deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. Manicure turned out great . But when I got home my toes were already chipped . Spent $40 on the pedicure to have it be chipped an hour after I get home. Not sure if I'll be returning to this salon..... maybe that's why it wasn't busy when we walked in ?

Decided that I desperately needed a pedicure and today was the day to do it!
Paid the meter guesstimating about 1 hour, put in for 1-1/2 just in case..
Walked in and there was only one lady getting a manicure. It was quiet, and pretty empty. I havent been here for well over a year. The "feel" was different. I remember it bustling with lots of ladies getting pedicures and manicures with a lot of workers.
It seemed like it changed ownership as I didnt recognized anyone that used to work there.
Maybe it was the time I arrived, 2:30.
I picked my color and was guided to a chair. The water

I've been here several times now and every single visit has been great. Calm environment. Never too noisy, crowded or crazy. The nail artists are caring and professional, always making sure I am comfortable and the meter is fed. Today, I got my holiday look on- watermelon toes (polish: mine. Title Nine).
