My family has worked with O'Connell a number of times over the past few years. While it's unfortunate the services were needed, we've always felt that our loved ones were honored appropriately and with such great care. I met Mike O'Connell several years ago when I went in to talk to him about a dear friend needing a funeral trust. He was so kind and understanding, and gave me a lot of good advice. (He is a very good listener by the way) Over the last several years we have spoken by phone many times, making arrangements for me to put more money into this lady's trust, however did not meet again in person until my dear one's death. I can't explain how sympathetic and empathetic he was, and so very caring over the next few days, helping me to make arrangements for her to be honored properly. He doesn't help families

When somebody dies, our lives are thrown upside down, as we figure out the next steps such as who should we call, what does our loved one want, and how do we honor our loved ones. As unfortunate as it was to have to use O'Connell's 3 times in in last 4 years I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My dad and my husband were unexpected and Mike and his team were amazing. With my mom we went in and pre-planned it, and as hard as that was I couldn't have asked for better people to work with, they really listened to what we wanted and made sure we were happy with all arrangements. If you are ever in need of their services please give them a call, they will walk you through the process while making sure you get the funeral you want.

I am so grateful to have chosen the O'Connell family funeral home for my husband.All the staff treat ed us like family.Their compassion and ability to make this process less complicated was gratefully accepted.Mike asked the right questions and created a wonderful "concert ticket" with obituary and pictures,which he took the time to design… for my quitar playing and music loving guy. It was unique and beautifully done.Family and friends really enjoyed it. Mike also designed thank you cards, which included two pictures my artist daughter had painted of her dad.What a personal touch! The picture

I can not express enough, my sincere gratitude for Mike O'Connell and staff. I had definitely reached a sad point of my life when my husband passed away. From the moment they showed up at my house I felt at ease. Their gracefulness and respect for our family was amazing. Mike was helpful and understand to our situation of planning a funeral with a blended family. He helped me to laugh, cry and put my mind at rest. We cant thank you enough for making Dads celebration of life a true celebration like he wanted.. Truly one of the best visitations I've ever been to. I worked with Mike when my brother died. He was most helpful at a time when I really needed support in choosing a fitting memorial for my brother to honor his life. This funeral home is exceptional. I have worked with Mike for many years as a nurse in the hospital and in hospice, at the saddest time for families. Mike and his staff have a special “ something” to do this job right. I also worked with them on a personal level with both my parents deaths. Mike was pretty special to work with my granddaughter when my mother passed. She was very close to her great grandmother and Mike helped her feel like she had a special part in planning “Gramma Greats” funeral. What a group. They are the best of the best.
