Services
Dr. Thomas R. Conner, D.D.S. has practiced dentistry in downtown Rockwall since 1975. He began his career at Baylor College of Dentistry. Upon graduation he served as a dentist in the U.S. Army. Dr. Conner has a passion for providing conservative dental care to patients of all ages. He also has advanced training in cosmetic dental procedures, oral obstructive sleep apnea appliances, and advanced full mouth dental rehabilitation.
There are many teeth whitening systems out there that can be performed in office or at home. Over the counter products such as white strips, toothpastes, and gels are good options to whiten teeth; however, they do take more time to achieve desired results. In office or take home products are mostly peroxide based gels, which are placed in custom trays that can be worn comfortably.
Dental implants are a tooth replacement option in which a titanium implant, "screw", is placed into the alveolar bone. The implant then integrates with the surrounding bone, providing stability for prosthesis. An abutment can then be screwed into the implant itself. The abutment can either support a single crown, multiple crowns (bridge), or a denture.
While we prefer to preserve teeth for as long as possible, often they do require surgical removal. Most commonly tooth extraction is required due to large cavities, periodontal disease, fracture or "cracked tooth", impaction, or for orthodontic reasons. Whatever the reason, we are here to make the experience pain and stress free.
Whenever a tooth is at high risk of fracture or decay, a full coverage crown is often indicated. The tooth is prepared to allow the crown to slide over the top and seal the underlying tooth. Crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes to provide ideal smile architecture and color. Crowns are most often made out of tooth colored ceramic.

My family has been coming here for years and couldn't be happier! Every service provided is excellent and they really strive to make their patients feel like part of the family. Going to the dentist can be a traumatic experience at times, but even when it comes to those times, this is a reassuring place to come! Dr Conner and Dr Stewart work hard to explain everything, use common sense in helping you make decisions regarding your teeth, and are calming, as well. And I have to give a shout out to Delia, because I don't know how I would have made it thro all those teeth cleanings without her!!
