We are open and working modified hours from Tuesday - Friday. Clinic has implemented safety protocols to minimize exposure. Please contact us if you have questions or would like to book an appointment. Our goal is to set you on the path to optimal health and well-being. Health is not just the absence of symptoms, but vitality rooted in internal harmony and balance.

This balance allows us to create and enjoy the life that we want. Every illness occurs within a context and as part of our treatment, we address lifestyle, nutrition, environmental, constitutional and other factors to determine the course of care. When we address the underlying imbalances and stressors, longstanding illness can be healed.
Services
There are various styles of acupuncture that have developed over thousands of years. We primarily practice a Japanese style of acupuncture & moxibustion that has been popularized by Kiiko Matsumoto. Her method of palpation based acupuncture is powerful and is one of the most intelligent acupuncture systems that we've encountered.
Herbal medicine is one of the oldest and most sophisticated branches of Chinese Medicine. Written history of Chinese herbology dates back approximately 2,000 years. In Chinese Medicine, herbs are rarely given singly. Instead, they are combined in a formula to maximize synergistic effects. Along with acupuncture, there are different schools of thought on Chinese herbs.
We consider food and nutrition to be a cornerstone of our practice. Eating for health also means eating for enjoyment. We do not prescribe nutritional guidelines for our patients that are overly strenuous or restrictive, unless it is for short periods of time to resolve a health condition. We customize our dietary recommendations for each patient.
Infertility occurs when a couple has unprotected sex for at least one year and pregnancy does not result. About 25% of couples are infertile at one time in their lives and approximately 40% of cases are due to male causes. Chinese Medicine addresses infertility from both the male and female perspectives.
The initial consultation takes approximately 1.5 hours and includes a patient intake, diagnosis, treatment plan and an acupuncture treatment. Emphasis is on learning about the nature of the health problem, patient education and prognosis. Follow up visits are usually 1 hour and incorporate acupuncture and if needed, other therapies such as cupping, moxa, or tuina.

I have been seeing both Susan and Sung for over a decade and they are both extremely knowledgeable, caring and thorough. I have been seeing Susan, exclusively, for the past two years and she has been amazing. She asks many questions, takes her time and copious notes to analyze what is ailing me. Her knowledge of herbs has helped me through the ups and downs (hot and cold) of menopause and she has released the symptoms that stress can have on my body. Her ability to fine tune and nurture my aches and pains with needles is so helpful. Susan puts my body back on track when I inadvertently derail it
