Wee Ones Preschool proudly serves Olivet and many surrounding communities, offering an opportunity for early educational preparation for children 3 - 6 years of age. At Wee Ones, development is fostered through an interactive, hands-on approach. Children are encouraged in their development of physical, social, emotional, intellectual and language skills.
Music, literature, art, dramatic play cooking, walking field trips and classroom visitors are some of the ways the children learn about the world around them. They develop eye-hand coordination along with their creative expressiveness and positive self-esteem. Through play, they learn math, alphabet recognition, phonics and various science and social studies concepts.

Services
Wee Ones opened in 1979 as a child care center. Three years later it transitioned to become preschool only for children ages 3 - 5. In 1988, with the cost of liability insurance too costly for our little preschool, the Congregational Church became our sponsor and the legal name changed to "Wee Ones Preschool of Olivet Congregational Church, UCC."
It has been our goal for 33 years to teach children through hands-on play. We have found children are more comfortable when guided to learn in an atmosphere that engages their senses. We have incorporated into our curriculum various learning tools such as music, literature, art, dramatic play and cooking.

At Wee Ones, we recognize and appreciate the importance of parental involvement for the success of the child and the preschool. We work to provide families with a variety of ways to be engaged and connected to their student's growth and development during the school year. Here's some ways you can keep up on what's happening in the classroom all throughout the year!
Wee Ones offers three seperate preschool classes: two are morning sessions with one held in the afternoon. We have a three-day program and two-day program to choose from. These classes are for children ages 3-6 who are fully toilet trained. Rolling admission is available based on current availability, with a maximum of 20 children per class.
