North Star Montessori prides itself on providing the most authentic & effective Montessori Early Childhood Program in Jackson, MI for over 17 years. Starting off the day at circle, we say "Buenos Dias" to greet each other and do the calendar and weather in English and Spanish. We listen to stories in English and Spanish, and we even have fun acting them out!
Many concepts are also learned through songs, rhythm instruments, and movement games using bean bags, parachutes, scarves, cultural dances and more! North Star Montessori is a two classroom private school that honors the authentic Montessori curriculum designed to meet the educational needs of children 3-6 years old.

We have two classrooms that are well equipped with the finest Montessori materials. Our curriculum is designed to meet the educational needs of children 2 years 9 months - 6 years old. Our teachers hold Montessori Credentials as well as Michigan teaching degrees and years of experience! Our classrooms are specifically designed to meet the child's developmental and educational needs over a period of three years.

North Star Montessori is currently on Step 6 of the AMS Continuous Pathway framework, which is an indication of our commitment to meeting the highest standards of quality in Montessori education.
In short, Montessori teaches children how to learn. What is more, it does so at a critical age -- two through six years -- when their receptivity to new concepts is most keen and core aspects of their personalities are being formed. Through Montessori they discover that the will, ability, and skills to learn are inside each of them rather than provided externally.
North Star Montessori offers Summer Fun Classes to both Primary (2.9 - 6 years old) and Elementary (6-10 years old) aged students throughout June, July, and August. All children attending Summer Fun Programs must bring a signed & dated current immunization record on or before their first day to participate in accordance with State Regulations.
