Services
I ask all new clients to arrive about 15 minutes before their first scheduled appointment to allow me to read your paperwork before meeting with you. In our first appointment I will gather more in-depth information on some key areas, e.g., family/relationship history and experience, health history, mental health history, substance use, history of the concern(s) you are experiencing.
Sex therapy is similar to psychotherapy and counseling as a process. It involves conducting a thorough initial assessment where I gather information about key areas including family/relational history, physical health history, mental health history, current functioning and concerns, alcohol and substance use, etc.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrative with a strong emphasis on relational factors. I also pay attention to social and cultural factors (e.g., gender, race, ethnicity, religion, economic issues, sexual orientation, etc.) that impact individuals' experiences and the choices available to them.
