BMR Homes is a family owned Remodeling and Restoration business in Homewood, AL. It was started by second generation contractor, Chris Youngs and his wife Michelle in 2004 out of the basement of their home. BMR was created with family as the focus, starting with the name: B- for his oldest daughter Brittany, M- for his wife Michelle, and R- for his youngest daughter Regan.
In 2005 Chris was called by members of his family in Mississippi to help after Hurricane Katrina. They were having a hard time finding respectful contractors to repair, and rebuild, homes along the coast. Chris was able to help countless people have a fresh start and move back into their homes. Once back in Birmingham, Chris worked hard to build a local team that he could be proud of.

Services
BMR Homes Inc. Remodeling and Restoration is a local business servicing the Birmingham Metro Area since 2005. We offer a wide range of services from kitchen and bath remodels to fire and storm repair. When it comes to remodeling your home, we can take care of anything and everything you may need. Our specialties include whole home remodels, aging in place and traumatic injury remodels, kitchen and bath remodels, and window replacements.
Restorations have to be the hardest part of what we do, not because it's particularly difficult from a work standpoint, but because it can be incredibly hard on the customer. Restorations occur because something traumatic happened to your home, and it's a stressful and emotional situation. Our goal is to make it a little easier for our customers to handle, and take as much of the stress off of them as possible.
Home Remodels in homewood, AL are a large part of what we do at BMR Homes. Sometimes making a few minor changes to your home can completely change the look and feel. Other times, you may need major changes to achieve the results you're looking for. Many times only small changes are needed like changing the paint color or painting your cabinets, but there are times when you want a more dramatic change.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to the entire staff at BMR Homes. They were professional, prompt, and just overall kind. They made sure our property was up to code on everything, that we were abreast of all decisions and timely renovated our property to perfection. It truly was a great pleasure to work with them.

Terrible! Took 5 months to get a quote and then they wanted to overcharge us by $20-$30k the quote had numerous errors. When they sent it over to begin with, all the numbers were wrong. They wanted to charge us for a bathroom we weren't even doing!
The project manager was awful and disrespectful especially to my wife.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
They tried to charge us $5,000.00 for two doors, $6,500 to paint 600 square feet.
Ridiculous and pathetic!

We had a rental property that suffered a TOTAL loss. However, we gained more than we lost with the relationships and finished product they left us with. God bless you all, especially, Regan, Clint and Lindsey. PS, with the finished product, we put the house on the market and it

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SIGN. While the fire department was still working on my house and and my husband had run to get my son some clothes, shoes, and a cellphone (he lost everything in the fire), BMR had me sign "something". They said it was so they could put a sign in the front yard and be on the premises working if an inspector came by. So they could get started helping in any way they could. The document lists no scope of work or estimate for services. It even says that scope/estimate will be provided and approved. But, this was never done. Yet, a year later BMR Homes is claiming they are entitled

BMR Homes Inc did a fabulous job for us after a major house fire in a house we rent that was only a year old at the time. His workers were great and the job was completed ahead of time. Chris handled the insurance work and was able to get the company to increase their original estimate from $42000 to $130,000 worth of repairs. This was able to bring the house back to the level before the fire. One of many examples were the insurance company only wanted to replace the broken windows at the time. Due to the extreme heat the warranty on the windows was terminated and they would have broken seals in
