I was on vacation from Salem, OR with a friend visiting from Texas and my car was not running correctly coming down from Hurricane Ridge. Bruce and his staff were exceptional in not only listening but letting me know they would be able to look at my car the following week.

Bruces took care of some major repairs and maintenance issues on my 2000 Toyota Tacoma in an incredibly short amount of time at a very reasonable cost. Their attention to my concerns and addressing them in a professional and thorough manner was unbeatable. I highly recommend them to anyone. I was on vacation from Salem, OR with a friend visiting from Texas and my car was not running correctly coming down from Hurricane Ridge. After replacing the ignition coils and my car still would not run properly I went to Bruce's at 8:30am Wed morning. Bruce and his staff were exceptional in not only listening but letting me know they would be able to look at my car the following week. I understood due to the current state of shortages everywhere and began making arrangements to return home and leave my car to get repaired.

Bruce's Specialty Auto is always my first choice for any car care needs. I have brought multiple cars to them over the years and never once was concerned about quality of repair or fairness of price for both emergent event and regular maintenance with full explanations and options! They always go the extra mile with pick up - drop off as available, or hold my vehicle when I am working out of state. Best car repair on the peninsula. I just had my VW bus looked at and worked on by Bruce. It is finally so nice to have a place that is knowledgeable and trustworthy to take my vehicle. I pulled into work one morning and white fumes were coming out from my hood. AAA towed my car to Bruce's -- they were able to take it in immediately. They accurately and quickly diagnosed the source of the fumes and found another problem. They had the main problem fixed immediately that day, and a few days later they fixed the other problem (minor oil pan leak). Their bill came in at or below their estimates. They were fast and reliable. They were able to get my car in right away. They kept me posted on progress and car readiness via text messages and voicemail messages. Great service. Recommend

I had family visiting me from my home town and we were in Port Angeles/ONP spending the last few days of our time together. Not only did Bruce's pull my car in for a quick repair when they were completely booked up but Sarah also postponed her lunch break to accommodate me walking to pick up my car once finished. Couldn't thank them enough for a super speedy repair and reasonable pricing to get me and my family back on our vacation. Thanks again! Highly reccomend these guys

Took my Kia Amanti into Bruce's to get a leaking fuel line replaced. They talked me into a tune up along with the fuel line replacement. After they got done they left my car with the check engine light on and a bad idling problem (which if you know cars, you know that will shoot your transmission). I spent $850 for my car to end up in even worse condition!! Then, having to take it to another shop since Bruce told me it was no longer their problem, I ended up spending another $450 and they couldn't fix the electrical/idling problem. They even agreed it was neglect on one of the mechanics

I would highly recommend Bruce's Specialty Auto! I am new to the area and took my Mitsubishi Lancer in because of starting issues. I was very pleased with my experience. They were exceptionally friendly and easy to work with. The pricing was very fair and they did not overcharge or try sell me on unnecessary repairs. Bruce is very honest and this is the type of place that once you find, you will return to again and again!

Great place for your car. My girlfriend has been getting her Toyota serviced at Bruce's for a few years and was very happy with their performance.
I tried to get my car serviced at the local Honda dealer but quickly became uncomfortable with there seemingly lack of knowledge regarding what was needed for my service.
I took my car into Bruce's instead. Great people very straight forward. They serviced my car and also advised me on the status of all things on my Honda. Bruce's seems to make a good effort to advise you and save you money instead of trying to up sell you.

Got a new car that is a POS. Had to have a lot of work done right away like a new tranny and radiator I went to tranco transmission in PA and they recommend Bruce's to have the Coolant flushed well it was in bad shape and he gave me a good deal because I had to get it done 3 times to get all the gunk out. When I need my breaks done which will be soon I will definitely be going back to him he seems fair and got in right away.

I don't know about these other reviews, but Bruce's has always gone above and beyond for me. I take them my newish Corolla for normal stuff, and they turn up problems like mice droppings in a filter that had me about to tear the car apart for stink. I also took them an ancient Toyota pickup I was ready to throw away, and they fixed it for another 5 to 10 years. I've been with them off and on for 18 years (moved away for a few years) and, for Toyotas at least, these guys are superb!

I have been going to Bruce's Automotive for YEARS. In August of last year I took my car in for some regular maintenance like tune up, oil change, belt replacement etc. After all the work was said and done I paid $500. I noticed my car was not idling properly and it was very sluggish when I stepped on the gas and a part on the front that keeps the engine quiet was missing a bolt. Which was odd because this was not the case prior to all the work. When I addressed the issue with the staff at Bruce's I was pretty much shrugged off. Solid service for our many cars over many years. Bruce will give you a good assessment of your car, fix the most pressing problems at a reasonable price and keep track of other issues for future reference. Bruce is a good example of why you want to develop a long-term relationship with your mechanic. Small town service at its best.
