While traveling from Montana, we ended up being towed to Petersen’s Automotive from Forks after our 1990 Vanagon started billowing smoke on the way to the Hoh Rainforest. Petersen’s started diagnosing our van right away the next morning, and by 5:00 pm we were on our way with new torque converter and front main seals. In addition, Mike gave us a mini lesson on idle adjustment questions as well as general suggestions for future maintenance items. The entire staff was communicative and professional and brought a sense of assurance and relief to a stressful emergency travel repair. Thank you,

The owner is trustowrthy, a huge must in the auto repair business. They got me right in to look at my car free of charge and didn't find any issues. They were honest instead of "finding" things to fix and taking advantage of a customer that knows nothing about cars. I highly recomend and will use in the future.

I was visiting Port Angeles. I heard a metal dragging sound w/ my F150 and was highly concerned since I needed to pull my RV back to Utah. Unbelievably they were able to look at my vehicle almost as soon as I brought it in on Monday morning. They found a couple issues but luckily it is something that can wait until I get home. I saw this same last minute customer support for a couple other travelers while I was waiting. It is hard to find this type of service nowadays. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The woman working the front desk, the mechanic and owner were fantastic. I only

Sends a "Tech" out who broke 5 bolts off in my engine block, then is so Generous to cover the 200 dollar tow bill then I'm charged around $1000 dollars in labor for the Repair. Also attempted to charge my Sister $140 for doing nothing, which I got back for her, for a headlight that had a pebble in it that was fixed for less than $20. Michael Peterson just wants your cash. No ethics. Says he's helping you as he's ripping you off.

Mike is such a nice caring guy, we dropped off a friend's vw van today for a tune up. Mike gave my son, 2 of his friends, and I a private tour of the shop. If you get a chance to stop by there, make sure to ask about Mike's artwork, they are absolutely beautiful! he is such a talented artist! To me, customer service like that is most important when running a business.

We took our first road trip in our newly purchased Eurovan Camper to the Olympic Peninsula. We realized the the gray water cap was completely stuck and needed professional help. Petersen's quickly helped fix the problem.
While we were there, we decided to get their opinion on the condition of our van so we had them inspect it. They were very, very thorough (shout out to Ted). They invited us into the garage to to see everything going on under the hood and physically show us everything they wrote up. Very helpful!

Our car started smoking on the way down from Heart O' the Hill campsite. Thanks to Gabriel, and Michael, we were able to get our car in and fixed within a day and continued our trip.
Everyone were so kind and friendly, they are our friends now:)
We hung out with them for a while and know how they were! They take in anyone who need help like us.

Take the time to read the bad reviews and they will tell you.
I have no idea how this business has not failed with the amount of lawsuits and bad repairs they have done. Ask anyone who has lived in PA and they will tell you horror stories. This is one of the worst places to take your car. No professionalism or anyone actually accredited to work on vehicles.

This place is a joke I've see how they are on the inside. My fiancé and I got into a car accident and try wouldn't give my fiancé medical leave and after we told him that we would take legal actions cause they can not refuse to give medical leave Peterson finally gave it to him but filed that he quit without our knowledge but told him to his face… that he was aloud to come back when he was ready. When the time came and he was able to come back to work Peterson told him that he hired someone else and didn't need him anymore and he wasn't aware that he was on medical leave and

Made three separate appointments with Petersen's auto to have the refridgerant collected from my a/c system. The first time I showed up they said I didn't make an appointment even though I had email confirmation. So I left to try again another day. The second appointment they seemed to not have me scheduled for service until I mention I again had… an email confirmation. I asked how long it would take. They said they didn't know how long it would take because they were pretty backed up, so again I left to try again. The third attempt at an appointment left me with the option of leaving it

The staff are friendly and helpful and if needed the owner is in the shop and you can speak directly to him. Her has 40 years of experience behind him to help ensure you get your car fixed right.
