Zerah & Company CPAs, P.C. was founded in 1981, with offices in Levittown, NY. Sion R. Zerah, CPA, who retired in 1993, founded the firm. The "family" tradition of quality service has continued with his two sons, Richard Zerah, CPA/PFS, CFP, CRFA, CMFC and Robert Zerah, CPA/PFS, CFP, MBA. The firm has developed a niche market servicing the needs of closely held businesses, and the closely held business owner.
Robert received an undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1982 from the State University of New York at Albany. In 1987 he received his Masters degree in Business Administration, graduating from Adelphi University. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1991, and also holds the designation of Personal Financial Specialist accredited by the American Institute of CPAs.
As the tax laws continue to get more complicated, it becomes increasingly difficult to understand the full implications of these changes. We utilize comprehensive tax research software to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the tax laws. Our in-depth knowledge of the tax code enables us to properly advise our clients to take advantage of all available opportunities.
We are Quickbooks Pro Advisors, and have the ability to either assist you in maintaining your own accounting records using Quickbooks, or maintain your books and records on our computer systems using Quickbooks. We set up all the required accounting functions, including the chart of accounts, customer and vendor lists, sales/cash receipts, purchases/disbursements and payroll.
