We booked our move with United Van Lines/Morgan Transfer, the movers picked up the items and did not wear masks or shoe covers, plus the truck parking break was broken so the truck continued to start rolling backwards on our almost flat street.
Three weeks later after our “final day” for delivery has passed we were finally able to get in touch with the moving company after hearing nothing back for a full week despite numerous calls and emails.

Used United to move from Seattle to Virginia. Morgan Transfer was sub'd out by United.
Overall I would not recommend the service, its unclear why United uses them. There are definitely better moving companies out there. Seems like inter-state moves are not their strong spot.
The Good
* Arrived on time with enough staff to quickly and effectively pack my stuff. Packing job was good - none of the boxed good broke
* My stuff mostly arrived in Virginia
The Bad
* Were 18 days past the BOL date which made the end to end delivery a bit over 5 weeks.
* Extremely poor communication from Morgan Transfer

Cecil, Jennifer & Isaiah were the absolute packers that I’ve ever had in my life! They put Clorox wipes in a tool box. They put free weights in with our electric saw with no wrapping. There was no regard or respect for our items. They stated the company philosophy is to fill the boxes. Please seek a company that exempts common courtesy and decency towards your personal items! A dust pan with my crackers and stemless wine glasses, no sir I don’t eat with things from the floor!! My cake pan with the hand broom!

It's been two months and I still can't get Morgan Transfer/ United Van Lines to tell me when they'll deliver my "overflow"... which was really that they decided to put my stuff on a truck with another client and was only able to fit half of my things as the rest of the truck was filled with another person's things. They don't return my phone calls and when I actually talk to the people"coordinating" my move I hear that they're waiting on the corporate office to tell them what to do. They sent out 1 guy for packing and 3 for loading on a 2400 sw ft house. Our goods arrived over 3 weeks late and with thousands of dollars worth of water damage. The whole time it was impossible to get an honest update from them. If you need to move out if WA, avoid United Van Lines and Morgan Transfer if you can help it.

So many bad things happened, first I asked a question about payment, they took so long to get back to me that my offer expired (that should have been the first sign). After that the movers came 3 hours late on move day then took 6.5 hours to get me moved (studio apartment), forgot to pack some stuff. I found trash they left in my apartment, along with wrappers from chocolates I had in my kitchen. The estimate was for 2x the amount I needed so I had to pay twice the amount up front. This was a 2 day load and transport to storage in state. The crew on both days was excellent to work with. Very careful with our household goods, fun to work with and hard working. We had boxed everything first except for beds and some odd items and they handled those with great care as well. Darin did a great remotely done estimate that was on the money. Kim in the office handled everything efficiently and was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Used this company recently for a local move from Lacey to JBLM, WA and am not very satisfied with how transportation was handled. Quote was provided for 3 men, 1 truck, 10 hours. Day of the move, 3 men quickly went to 1 (first left at 2 hours into the job) and then around 5:30pm, 7 additional men were 'supplemented' (without my prior knowledge) to… make up lost time. Needless to say, I had to pay for everyone, costing me at least $300 extra, if not more. To make matters worse, employees fudged their hours claiming hours worked that weren't. After a glitch in scheduling, which delayed my journey a day, the moving experience was awesome. The estimate was right on, the few pieces that wouldn't fit were carefully loaded in my car. The items they wrapped or boxed were carefully handled, as were the many boxes & tubs I had packed. The crew was professional, careful, respectful, friendly, and worked tirelessly to load my 2 crates. I had the best experience w the 2 man crew. My biggest concern was my small load vs a bigger job, resulted in me being rescheduled. I do however recommend Morgan Transfer.

My husband and I Moved from Tacoma Washington to Michigan and had our belongings picked up June 7th from our home. We paid over $9,000 to the agreed services of Morgan Transfer (affiliated with United) and trusted their contract and customer reviews to safely and timely deliver our belongings.
This was our experience:
1- No communication from the Office on the day of when the movers were picking up our belongings
2- On the day prior to the last day of our delivery window, we were informed our items had not left Washington. It took a total of 18 days to move our belongings from WA to MI.

I. Hate. Moving. Seriously. My last move was across the country with an inept and down right criminal moving company, so it's not suprising that I was a bit hesitant at hiring another company to move my stuff. Visions of all my things broken (again) or missing (again) or even being overcharged (again) danced through my head. Great experience from start to finish. Darin came and did a thorough walk thru and gave me an estimate. I booked my date and it was confirmed shortly after by Dawn in the office. Dawn called me the day before to confirm when the movers would arrive. Moving day came and movers arrived as scheduled. They immediately got to work and worked hard throughout the entire very long day they spent at my house. Donald, Sonny and Mike were amazing. Good attitudes, hard working and easy to work with. My mom was going to assisted living, and we decided to hire a mover. The representative from Morgan Transfer, Darin, came to do a walk through and give me a bid. He was very congenial and very knowledgeable. He gave me a discount that made his bid competitive, and based on his friendliness and expertise, I decided to hire his company. He even commented, when I told him I was going to be looking for a lift chair for Mom, that he knew of a lady that he recently moved that might have one. He even followed up on it on his own time.
