No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).
Giving a meaningful, moving eulogy can be a nerve-wracking situation for even the most accomplished public speaker, but it need not be. How can you summarize somebody's life in a few short minutes, while being both somber and funny at the same time? Writing and delivering a eulogy is a therapeutic tool to help deal with your grief, and being chosen to give a eulogy is an honor and should be treated that way.

I can’t say enough about Baird and his handling of things during a very sad time in my life. He knows exactly what to say and how to relieve the stress during a time that is so tender to the family and loved ones. My father died at my home and Baird handled the removal of my Dad with such dignity and care. Baird is not concerned with fancy and adding expenses to the bill. His main concern is doing what the family wants to help them through a difficult time. Thank you Baird for the care you showed to both of my parents over the years.

During trying times for our family, Baird's made decision making easy. I felt welcomed, understood and supported during the planning process for the eventual passing of a family member. This was the second time I called upon Baird's services and was not surprised at the excellent services they provided. Thanks to the Bards team for all of your support!

Baird Funeral Home was called when my mom passed May 9, 2021.
Baird was so caring, he informed us as to what exactly was going to take place and asked if we wanted to be present.
The next day Baird contacted us and asked about the obituary. Well I had never written an obituary. Baird took me into his very knowledgeable hands and walked me through everything. He came to our home bringing us items that needed signatures and a book to pick out beautiful Memorial cards and verses, a signature book that matched and thank you notes. He even had my Mom’s picture put on the Memorial cards. If I had
