Our mission is to eliminate transportation as a barrier to equity for low income and under-represented youth. We do this by creating free or low cost transportation solutions for title 1 schools and non-profit organizations to field trips, outdoor experiences, STEM and arts programs, athletic programs and other youth development programs. Services
The Youth Transportation Organization has partnered with the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) to build an ongoing fund to provide free field trips on BART to SF Bay Area students. This program will provide a one-stop-shop for teachers for free and easy transportation, and to discover appropriate field trip destinations that will enhance their classroom curriculum and student experience.
The Yoots Van Rental program allows qualified organizations the opportunity to have easy access to transportation without the costly overhead of ownership or retail rental. Your organization can rent these vans for your trips around town, to Yosemite for the week, Point Reyes for the weekend or a museum for the day.
Yoots' relationship with Tech Companies allows us to utilize their transportation fleets for only $250/day. When possible, you'll get an electric bus! 1. Available to Title One Schools (no registration necessary) or eligible youth serving nonprofit organizations. Nonprofit orgs must become a "Yoots Registered User" prior to requesting a charter.
In 2019, Yoots partnered with Genentech to provide extremely low cost transportation for the United Negro Fund's Tech Summit. Students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities flew to SFO from around the United States to participate in a deeply informative tour of some of the region's most important tech companies.
