This was the 3rd visit this year. This will be my "go to" place for now on when I plan a hike in the area. Real people who make you feel welcome. Each of the different rooms has a unique cozy feel to it. You have to visit here to truly understand it. It's Virginia as I once knew it, and not the modern "NOVA" that too much of the state has come to be. Unfortunately I passed this place up many times in the past before I tried spending a night here. Wish there was more places like this. And if you are in the area, and can't eat at the restaurant ( they are closed most days during the off season),

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here at Graves Mountain lodge. They have a huge property with a fantastic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fire pits and seasoned wood are supplied outside each lodge which I thought was a lovely touch! I absolutely loved all the rocking chairs and benches placed throughout the property. Staff was very productive, professional, not to mention very busy. We will be back!

We used to love this place and came often. Our current visit has been terrible. While the cabin we rented is nice, the restaurant has nose dived. Our service was abhorrent. Our waitress had no clue what she was doing, kept us waiting forever, Our food finally showed up cold, we sent it back and got attitude. When it finally came the second time, it was mediocre at best. The food here used to be amazing, I bragged about it to people even! I am so embarrassed I brought my parents ans inlaws here after our experience. Service continued to be slow, I had to clear our own table and ask if we could order

Sept 2021 - stayed here again and it didn’t disappoint. We were in the Hill Top Lodge this time and there was a fire pit outside - had a fire going 2 nights in a row and met some other great people staying here as well. A man we met said this was the first time the fire pit was there and he’d been coming for many many years. Hopefully they continue to keep it, brought a bunch of people together who may not have ever met otherwise. We plan to come back, maybe next Labor Day Weekend. We also went horseback riding this trip— it was AMAZING!

I absolutely loved our stay. I wish we could’ve stayed longer! The staff was so wonderful and welcoming. The Mountain View was absolutely gorgeous and the rooms were so clean! They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the lodge and the food and service was great. We did some of the activities offered at the farm and had a blast as well! We will be back!

My kids, dog, and I stayed 4 nights at Graves Mountain Farm and Lodges in late July. There was so much to do there. The room itself was pretty average but the available activities and services made this place amazing. There was a pool to cool off in every afternoon, homemade jams and jellies in the restaurant and gift shop from fruit grown right there on the farm, free smores every night at the fire pit in front of the main lodge, farm animals, and so much more. This place really encompasses the meaning of Southern Hospitality. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

We enjoyed a delightful overnight stay at Graves Mountain Lodge. It is truly a throwback to simpler times: home cooked meals, lots of outdoor activities and the most amazing views. We loved our hour long horseback ride. The staff from the front office, to housekeeping, to the stables were friendly, helpful, and very responsive. This place isn’t fancy, but it is super clean. We look forward to returning.

The rooms were clean and simple. Our family enjoyed all the meals we had at the property. The property is very close to several hiking spots as well as having several activities available on site. The staff was welcoming and helpful. If you are wanting a place to get away from everything without having to worry about all the little details that come with camping Graves Mountain Lodge makes it easy and really fun.
