MSP is home to over 2000 garments in sizes 00-24! Each session includes 5-7 unique looks perfectly curated to match your personal style from classic, casual, sexy, glamorous, ethereal, and vanity fair style. Your session fee includes professional hair styling and make up done by Melody Smith. Melody enhances your natural beauty and strongly encourages you to PLAN A NIGHT OUT after your session.
You will look and feel amazing after your shoot! During your photo shoot Melody will direct you through a variety of poses and facial expressions from the tips of your toes to the top of your head! From various lighting, backgrounds, and props, your shoot will be creatively designed just for you. After your session we will schedule your reveal & ordering appointment with in 2-3 weeks through ZOOM.

Services
Melody is an international award winning double master photographer located in Petersburg, Virginia. For the last 30 years Melody has been photographing men, women, and children from all over the world. Not only is Melody a photographer, but also a hair stylist and make up artist. Until 2012, Melody photographed primarily weddings.
During your online consultation via facebook messenger (text only) we will begin the early process of designing your session. We will chat about your style, look at images you love, go over logistics, and book your session. Once your session is booked, we will have you create a specific Pinterest board for us.
You will be approaching the studio from the back, where our designated parking lot is located. When you arrive at the studio you will send us a message through FACEBOOK so that we may greet you at your vehicle and carry your belongings to our studio for you. Our studio is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and is completely private during your session with us.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, Melody offers customized one-on-one mentorships with expertise in portfolio building, refining lighting, building posing, connection skills, designing and creating conceptual work, how to grow networks in small towns, and developing memorable and unique brands that generate and increase sales.

It's taken me a few days to really compose myself of what to say following my shoot with Melody Smith Photography. I'd put off going for quite a while, it's not the kind of thing I allow myself to do for myself though I'd always (10+ years) followed her on FB and told myself one day I'd do a shoot and check that off of my bucket list. It was a very difficult thing for me to do to not cancel and make excuses for all the reasons why I shouldn't spend the time/money doing something I deem to be so glamorous, so not in my reality of practicality.

I had an amazing time when I had my glamour session with Melody! She immediately made me feel at ease and relaxed the entire time I was there. Not only is her work amazing, but she's also very professional and easy to get along with. I would recommend her to anyone, but especially those who've never had this kind of experience before. I had a blast!

Being a subject for Melody Smith to photograph, will change your life! Unlike most cookie cutter photographers out there, Melody customizes each photoshoot around your "idea of being photographed" with her amazing talent behind the personalized art she will create for you! I love all of the tips and tricks she's taught me while doing my hair and make up! On top of the pampering with hair and make up, the wardrobe collection you're able to choose from is like every girl's dream closet/room with a wide variety pieces! Melody is an amazing artist who has been photographing me and my family for 9 years. Her talent is like no other I have seen anywhere in Va. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with MSP. Melody was so warm and welcoming from the second I stepped in the door. She took so much time with my hair and makeup and made sure I loved it and felt comfortable. That time in the chair really made me feel at ease when we actually started shooting as well....She is TRULY an artist. I've never seen a style of photography that captures emotions and beauty quite like Melody does. The images are my absolute favorite ever! One I used as my ad page at Mrs. America and it was THE favorite image out of all 51 ads. And The photo of me in the gown
