We looked at a couple other options for childcare in the area and were relieved to find the warm, welcoming environment at DSA. Our 3 year old felt instantly at ease with Kamie and that has helped the transition from home care to a preschool setting. We would 100% recommended DSA to anyone looking for a great preschool.

Our DD joined Sonshine Academy at 2. They were very understanding to a child separating from home for the first time. The teachers and staff are always so kind! It has been two years and now she’s starting VPK. She comes home happy, excited about her day and looking forward to the next one. The school puts out a calendar every month, has lunches, activities and other things listed. Would definitely recommend bringing your little one over to Debary Sonshine Academy!

I have used DSA for 2 of my children and they have always been GREAT!! My childen loved going there and always talk positive about the teachers there. They are clean and affordable as well! One of my favorite things is they always accomodate my son waving bye to me through the window (he has always done that since a baby) it really helps establish security with him and with myself! I am so thankful for these great ladies/gentlemen!!

I had an unpleasant experience at DSA. My 3-year-old son was not provided with any assistance during the initial days of transition. As per owner Mary, she had some preconceived notion that DSA won’t be a good fit for him and came to this conclusion within 3 days of him being there. He was provided no assistance or time to transition from his homely environment to the day care setup. My son is not used to sleeping on the floor and this was the major issue, someone had to help him. But DSA’s problem as they say is that they are understaffed. We tried our best to help our child during his nap

Thank you for your response to Alex’s feedback. While looking up a place for our 3 year old son, we were glad to see the positive reviews. Your mission statement and the daycare ambience were promising. However we are highly displeased to admit that we had an unpleasant and unrationalised experience at DSA.
If 2-4 weeks is a typical transition period for a child without an undiagnosed developmental disability, we want to know why our son was given only 3 days to transition to a totally new group environment from a personal care home environment. We are still waiting for a written

We were so blessed that both of our girls attended Debary Sonshine Academy while attending Debary Elementary School. The safe and secure environment created by all the staff was first rate. The spiritual learning lessons they received are also still shining thru both of them to this day. We will be forever greatful to Ken and Mary for the positive impact they and their staff have had on the lives of our daughters.

Both of my children have attended Debary Sonshine Academy and Armored Academy (the after school program at Debary Elementary), and I can honestly say that Ken and Mary have instilled wonderful values in my children. Ken and Mary are the most genuine, caring people I have ever met. I'm extremely grateful to have them in my life and the lives of my children. I HIGHLY recommend DSA for the care of your little ones...It's more than just a daycare, it's more like a family. They are WONDERFUL!
