Services
Mei is the founder of Challenge School and has 10 years of teaching and educational administrative experience. Before starting the school, she was a pharmacist who practiced in China and later became an architect in the United States. Mei received her BA in Interior Architecture from Academy of Art University and her BS in Medicine from Sichuan University.
These popular camps provide AM Chinese Immersion Lesson + PM STEAM Enrichment classes that can be held onsite or online. What if Challenge School cannot open in-person camp due to San Mateo Health County Guidelines? If we need to close the onsite camp according to San Mateo Health County, you will have the option to switch the same dates week onsite camp to the online camp (with tuition adjustment) or withdraw with a total refund.
For Spring 2021 enrollment, our afterschool offers both Daily Online Chinese Class and Onsite whole day 9-5 pm and afternoon 1-5 pm with Chinese Teachers. Our Chinese After School is one of the earliest established in the Peninsula. We opened our doors in 2005 and have served over 1000 children. In addition to developing each child's Chinese fluency, we also focus on discipline and social-emotional development.

Through poems, songs, games, art, and daily conversation, children will acquire the language during our morning Mandarin Immersion program. All of our Chinese teachers are mostly native speakers with qualified Early Childhood Education training. Challenge School has published four Chinese textbooks for our 3-5 years old classes.

I enrolled my 5 year old in the online Challenge STEAM summer program and have been very pleased with the progress he’s made. He attended the morning Chinese immersion program (which included lessons on Chinese culture with similarly themed craft activities) as well as the afternoon English enrichment programs (public speaking, acrylic painting, dance, etc). He has no background in Chinese Mandarin and it was a bit of a struggle to get him motivated at the start. However, I was impressed with the patience and high level of energy the teachers brought to the classroom every day. They did an excellent
