September of 2019, my wife and I had to find a permanent care facility for her dad. He had multiple health issues including: dementia, cardio vascular disease, diabetes, and multiple strokes. While it is never a fun thought of having to put a loved one into a “Nursing Home” We prayed about the decision and started searching for the right facility. While in the hospital searching for my father-in-law’s new home, we decided to go with Desoto Healthcare Center. This was an extremely emotional and stressful time and after finally making our decision we found out that the insurance he had would

It's a mediocre nursing home. You must visit your loved ones regularly to prevent elderly abuse and neglect. My mom is here. They get her monthly check plus about $5,000 each month from Medicare. So, I figure I got rights, plus I am next of kin Power Of Attorney. I been having trouble with a nurse lately, she been rude to me and has attitude. I have been silent until now! I will not be walked all over again and be ordered! I am son and visitor. Plus, there are staff member thieves running amuck! Maybe janitors? My sister and I have had items stolen here. Pick pockets! Cloths disappear? Now it obvious

Reluctantly I had to find a long term care facility for my mother. She spent 10+ years here. The staff was/is EXCELLENT.....the food was fabulous and my mother never had a bed sore or a bruise (until her last week). She was always well taken care of from the doctors and nurses to even the maintenance staff. The last day of her life as I held her hand, each and every one if the employees came by her room to pay their respects. Tho putting a loved one in a nursing home is a gut wrenching decision, this is the absolute best place for them to be.

My mother was a resident here for 9 yrs. She received great care. The staff is top notch. Just like anywhere, you get an unprofessional staff member now and then. Just like all homes, the staff is overworked and underpaid. Even with that they keep a good professional attitude. For some reason our society cuts the budget on our sick and elderly. Sad.. Hopefully one day we will change that. The facility manager is a great guy. Overall great experience.
