Designed for infants and toddlers to better form secure attachments to their teachers and to minimize transition. Ithaca Community Childcare Center (IC3) is a non-profit, NYS-licensed, and NAEYC-accredited (National Association for the Education of Young Children) center that has been serving the community since 1976.
We offer care for children between 8 weeks and 10 years old, and are committed to providing families with the highest standard of child-inspired, professionally-nurtured care and educational opportunities. Our innovative continuity of care program is nationally recognized. Services
IC3 offers programs for children ages 8 weeks - 11 years old. We serve roughly 250 children in the community per year and operate out of three different locations. The IC3 Main Campus offers care for infants, toddlers, and pre-k. All of our infant and toddler classrooms at our main campus are part of our continuity of care program in which children stay with the same caregivers from when they start as infants until they are 3 years old.
When working with young children, the whole class is considered. You, the parent, are an important part of that whole. You are their first teacher. The teachers see your child in a social setting - how he or she interacts with peers and other adults. You know your child's home life setting, fears, joys, important events, and values you instill.
IC3 After School is an ideal transition time from school to home. We offer a small, hands-on after school program for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade enrolled in the Ithaca City School District. Children can enroll for 2, 3, or 5 days a week. We enroll up to 80 children in the program, and have a director and 5 counselors.
We provide a summer camp for 80 children going into Kindergarten through fifth grade. The program operates Monday - Friday 7:30 am -5:30 pm. IC3 Camp is located within our main center located at 579 Warren Road, Ithaca, NY. The camp has indoor and outdoor play space and is a short walking distance from 2 playgrounds, a soccer field, and basketball court.
