I had a very good experience with Escape Fence and Deck. Right from scheduling the initial estimate through to getting the deck done, Dan was very responsive and professional.
The team that built the deck is amazing. The craftmanship, making sure all edges align neatly, design of the deck, everything was very high quality.
Very friendly and professional crew. I would use Escape Fence and deck again and I highly recommend this business.

They forgot the original date they suggested for fence instillation. I emailed them the day before that no one had been here to mark utilities, and they informed me of the new date that they would be here to rip out the old fence and put up the new one. They did not fully remove the old fence; they cut off the fence posts rather than remove them (I should have read the contract better). The new fence has irregular spacing between the fence posts because of this. One of the fence posts is not pressure treated, and I am not sure if the boards are pressure treated. My wife had a vision for an area in our backyard that the previous home owners used as a play area for their children. She wanted to turn the area into a garden of sorts, surrounded by nice fencing with some arbors. We had a few contractors come look, but when Dan came by, he by far was the clear choice. He took the time to discuss what WE wanted and helped put the vision on paper. When we analyzed all the bids, this one came in a bit on the higher-end, but all considered we anticipated we were going to get a high quality finished product. I don't often write bad reviews, I'd rather spend my time on worthy companies. This experience however we the worst I've had in a long time- major lack of communication and nasty attitude. The crew who did the fence seemed careless and aggressive (I could hear them talking as my windows were open). The fence had large chips in it, nails we're protruding, nothing was flush- it was just not well done at all. They came out and fixed their mistakes as best they could and I'm pretty understanding when people are new/untrained. That being said, I can't support a company who has an owner who berates and

Escapes tore down a dilapidated shed, removed concrete steps, built a fence gate, and installed an absolutely large deck, all in less than a week! They have been by far the easiest and most knowledgeable contractor that I have ever worked with, with the best prices. I'm looking forward to working with them again. I highly recommend Escapes Fence and Deck.

Dan and his crew gave us a beautiful new deck, roof and fence. Highly recommend them. Tanner and the rest of the crew were very professional and worked with us to make minor changes (and one very large change) on the fly. We have received so many compliments on the fantastic deck and walkway. They installed a privacy screen on the deck, a beautiful feature that's added protection from the weather as well as privacy. We also had them install fencing to the sides of our house - and we are very happy with the fence as well. (And our cat loves the cat doors they added to the fence!) Great

Justin's crew did a great job removing an old retaining wall and installing a new one for us earlier this year. Dan was our first point of contact and was lovely to work with. Justin and Shane provided us with excellent work! They built a beautiful retaining wall and fence with lattice top as well as two gates (just under 100 feet total). They also added some pavers to extend our patio and demolished a deck/fence that we were replacing. They executed our vision very well, and were willing to take our input which we really appreciated. We have a high standard for work and they consistently worked to meet that expectation. We appreciate the time they spent here on our place and would recommend them! The end product was great, and all at a great price too.

We just finished having our fence replaced by Dan and his team at Escape Fence. Overall a great experience and we are very pleased with the quality of the fence we received. From start to finish Dan was prompt in returning calls and answering our inquiries. His prices are fair and competitive. During the construction of our fence there was an issue with gate placement. Dan came by saw the issue and quickly resolved everything to our satisfaction.

Dan's eagerness to get our business and guarantees were reassuring, until he was paid. For months after that, no response to the concern we had about the dozen or so severely cracked boards that were installed (we have a 20+ year old fence in other areas of the house without a single split board in them). He finally came out to fix the issues but didn't let us know when he was here and ended up only replacing one 2x4 and one fencepost cap. When I asked why the others weren't fixed, I was told "wood cracks".

I am giving four stars only because I rated this business unfavorably in May 2015. For some reason that review does not show up. I called Dan several times in 2 weeks about the unstable fence they recently built for us. When he did not respond I wrote a poor review. Since then Dan has come to our property twice. He has been easy to communicate with and did what was needed to stabilize the fence. Anyone can be a nice guy when things are going well. I am impressed with Dan's integrity. Escapes fence built our new fence less than a year ago. Since then some of the fence posts have become loose and some fence boards are coming unattached. The fence is in an area that is not bothered by children or animals. The only reason this would happen so soon is poor construction quality. I am on the board of our homeowner association and was given a cell number for the person who supervised the installation. He was not responding to calls from our property manager. I have called twice in three weeks and left messages asking that he contact me about repair to the fence. I have gotten no response
