Services
Carthage Veterinary Hospital strives not only to prevent and heal illness but also build a long lasting relationship with the animals and humans who love them. We pride ourselves on providing a clean, safe, loving atmosphere for our clients and their animals. Our motivated health care team takes pride in what they do and strives to tend to the individual needs of each client and patient.
Puppies and Kittens obtain immunity from many diseases from their mother, however, this protection is short-lived. At Carthage Veterinary Hospital we provide a vaccination schedule that will protect your new friend against many serious, life-threatening diseases in our area. We recommend for all kittens and puppies to begin a vaccination schedule at the age of 6 weeks.

My dogs had to be put in quarantine. I understand that they needed to be kept separated from other dogs, and that they were there because one of them, we weren't sure which, had bitten someone (who was in my yard and had been told to leave).
What I don't appreciate is:
When I came to get my dogs after their ten days were up, I was told that they had to contact animal control and make sure the dogs could be released (which is completely understandable). They call, and then inform me that the police said I couldn't pick up my dogs until the next day. I leave to go to the police station, quite upset

I had a great experience here. You can tell the everyone truly cares about their work and the animals. I feel like the doctor is very experienced and professional. It's especially comforting to recieved phone call updates on how your pet is doing. I will definitely be returning should my pets need medical attention
