Chiropractic is a philosophy of health care that concentrates on helping the body function the way it was designed. What do I mean by that? Consider how many times in your life you had to REMIND your body to breathe, pump blood, or digest food. These functions of life happen automatically. Quite frankly, when the body works well, it works VERY well!
Doctors of Chiropractic are not only trained in problems dealing with the spine, but are formally educated in clinical examination and diagnosis of the entire human body and they have training comparable to medical or osteopathic doctors in the basic sciences, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, etc.
The first phase of care is referred to as Relief or Acute Care. This is designed to eliminate or reduce the majority of the discomfort and stabilize the condition in the shortest amount of time. During this phase of care, visits will be frequent. Repeated visits will be required to reduce or eliminate the symptoms.
Pain is the last symptom to appear, and unfortunately the first to leave. The ligaments and muscles that support your spine take longer to heal than is indicated by how you feel. Your body continues to heal these soft tissues long after your symptoms are gone. Continuing with chiropractic care even after the pain is gone, will result in a complete recovery.
Functional medicine is personalized medicine that deals with primary prevention and underlying causes instead of symptoms for serious chronic disease. Biochemical individuality describes the importance of individual variations in metabolic function that derive from genetic and environmental differences among individuals.

Dr. Scott has been treating me for approximately 9 months. Since my first visit, I have lost 40 lbs, my blood sugar has dropped 30 points, (89 last sample), triglycerides and cholesterol have dropped, dramatically, and A1C is now headed in the right direction. My personal dietary changes were minimal, and easy to modify and maintain. I feel great, and am very glad I went in this direction.

Dr Scott has been a life safer for me. I was sick for three years and now one could tell me what was wrong. I decided to visit Total Health center and I told dr Scott what was happening with me and he didn’t look at me as if I had two heads. He told me we will get to the bottom of it . I felt relief “finally someone who was listening to me.” He did figure out what was making me feel so sick all the time and implemented a course of action that I followed to this day. I will recommend Dr Scott to everyone I know. His staff are great and kind . They are always ready to access you every time

Just a little shout out to Dr. Mark Scott and his awesome staff at Total Health Center. I have been seeing Dr. Scott for a little over a year and he is the one and only doctor that finally helped me diagnose and work through some auto-immune issues. Changing your lifestyle because of health challenges is really hard, but with Dr. Scott's constant support and incredible knowledge, he has made this journey tolerable for me. If you are having troubles trying to figure out what is going on with your body, check in with Dr. Scott. I am truly grateful for all he has done to get me feeling "normal" again

1 star is being nice. The “exam” was so basic, not thorough, didn’t find the root cause of my pain. Took x-rays immediately, and didn’t provide any vest to protect my organs from radiation from using really old technology. The adjustment was so minor and didn’t help. And then tried charging me $116 for the new patient visit, meanwhile my co-pay to any chiropractor prior was $25, even as a new patient. Will never go back and recommend never getting service from this “doctor”

I have been treated for symptoms related to my back and hip. My prior therapist informed me that my hip is able to misalign. Since Chiropractors worked with such, decided to see one. My symptoms have been reduced to minimum. About a couple of weeks ago I had acute symptoms related to my shoulder and neck area. That has been reduced to being not noticeable at all and continually fading.
Additionally, I am being reeducated has far as body mechanics.
Secondly the staff is very cordial and efficient.
Lastly, The doctor treats you like a guest even though he is a professional who there to move you

Dr Scott is an awesome, compassionate, and knowledgeable physician. I walked in with extreme pain in my neck and arm due to a pinched nerve in my neck. I was literally hunched over even after seeing specialists and being on muscle relaxers and pain medicine. I was headed toward surgery. One minute after his chiropractor adjustments and I felt no pain and could walk straight! I was shocked that after several months of pain he easily resolved my issue.
