Tom, Jerean, and their son Christopher have teamed up to bring a new and exciting dining and lodging experience to Old Mesilla and the Mesilla Valley. The family has a rich history as the owners of the historic La Posta De La Mesilla, one of the oldest and most recognized restaurants in the southwest, dating back to 1939.
Hacienda De Mesilla is located in Historic Old Mesilla adjacent the City of Las Cruces. The surrounding area is rich in history and culture surrounded by State and National Monuments protecting the breath-taking views and landscapes. It's all within your reach. The history of what is now Mesilla, NM, dates back to at least the 16th century.

I was able to stay at Hacienda de Mesilla this past weekend as a little weekend getaway with my boyfriend who was flying into El Paso. I went to school at NMSU and wanted to show him the gorgeous mountains, scenery, and a little piece of history. We truly couldn’t have picked a better place.

Went for a late Sunday afternoon lunch. It was our first time there. Beautiful surroundings, quiet atmosphere- we ate in the restaurant. Staff is professional, efficient and listened to the customer. Food was very tasty, hot and the portion size just right. I had the fish & chips with house made kettle chips and my husband had the burger. I loved the kettle chips! They could be an appetizer by themselves! Put them on the menu & I will be there.
We had creme brulee for dessert- it was wonderful. A smaller portion than we would normally share, but perhaps better for one. All in all a good experience

The employees have been pleasant and helpful but somebody that has really stood out has been Erica. She is warm and friendly but also extremely accommodating and a crucial part of what has made our stay great. We will definitely stay here again because of the atmosphere that the staff has cultivated.

The dining experience at hacienda de Mesilla was excellent! Our party had the salmon, the sea bass, and the Arrachera steak. Everyone was pleased with their entrees. A complimentary dessert for the birthday girl was a nice touch. The chocolate cake and the creme brulee was nicely done. The whole staff was on their game. Very polite, professional and attentive. The grounds were beautifully decorated for the holiday and the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, but still had a nice, relaxed vibe going. I would highly recommend. Banquet facilities, outdoor dining possibilities, and hotel accommodations

My wife and I had THE best experience with Hacienda de Mesilla. We had our wedding, and reception there, actually.
First of all, our families stayed there- our parents used the two rooms in the Casita, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor living space adjacent to their rooms. (And the rooms are wonderful, by the way) We had our wedding ceremony, with 20 guests, on the lawn In front- and it was perfect in every way. The staff was so accommodating, and helpful. Everyone was absolutely terrific! It's such a beautiful venue for a small to medium sized event.

Really enjoyed dining here. The service was prompt and I really liked that our waiter came back when necessary butet us just enjoy our meal without pestering us every 3 seconds. I got the bacon wrapped shrimp and risotto and oh man is that a winner. The perfect balance of fresh and vibrant with savory and earthy. Absolutely loved it. Beware tho, if you're on the patio, you'll want to take advantage of the bug spray they have on hand! I got chewed up by bugs just sipping my wine. My partner was fine to and enjoyed his crab seafood enchiladas quite a bit.

Had an excellent time here! Chris our server provided us with top tier service! We started with the guacamole with our cocktails and both were on point. I ordered the hacienda salad and my boyfriend ordered the Alaskan king crab legs and both were so good and filled us up. Jarvis also was there to pick up any empty plates or cups which was super nice. Chris made sure our water was always filled and just was a really nice guy! Give him a raise!

We had an early Valentine dinner and it was perfect! The atmosphere was very pleasant, we sat on the patio, they had heaters which was nice. We had the Lobster Bisque, Salad, Chilean Sea Bass with risotto and asparagus and Filet mignon and a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert - it was absolutely delicious! Perfect evening! Service was top notch - I highly recommend Hacienda de Mesilla for a nice meal. We will be back!

This restaurant and Inn was a quaint place to stop for margaritas and lunch. Great outdoor patio seating on 1st and 2nd floors! A perfect way to enjoy a Sunday Funday and support local NM businesses! We had the ahi tuna appetizer which was a rainbow of refreshment. I recommend trying dishes with New Mexico's famous green chiles. They have many options including green chile crab bisque and the blue crab blue corn green chile enchiladas!

Got in late. This was one of the only open places. We had no idea what to expect. Good restaurant Karma I guess. Beautiful interior. I had the green chili enchiladas. Blue corn tortillas stuffed with cheese and smothered with Hatch green chile sauce. Served with frijoles negros and corn pudding. Both sides were fabulous! There was slaw also but I didn't waste room on it. Velvet had the tortilla soup. Very different. Instead of broth they pour red chili sauce over it. My god, what a incredible twist on that dish. Last night I was just getting back into town and I realized everything was closing. I was disappointed but I still called a couple Mexican places that were recommended.
One place, that was about to close, said, "call Hacienda de Mesilla". No one really knows how good they are as they are thought of as a "hotel restaurant", but there Enchiladas and menu are great". The guy in the background of the call agreed too.
That's all it took for me. i called over and ordered

We have eaten in the main room of the restaurant several times. That part of Hacienda is a good 4 star place. It's a bit overpriced and I always feel underdressed.
The little cantina in the back, however, is a 5 star after work/weekend drinks place for anyone in Las Cruces. Walk passed the front entrance to the right down the path and in the back door to a fantastic patio looking directly at the Organ Mountains. Sit out there in the nice New Mexico evenings and watch the sun change the mountains appearance as it sets. Sip a glass of wine, enjoy a margarita made with tequila and not wine
