I've had a number of experiences with automotive shops in the area over the past decade, most of which have been extremely frustrating. We've had estimates that were wildly off, work done that didn't need to be done, and situations where we dropped our car off and didn't get it back for weeks when we were told a repair would take "no more than a couple days." Ozzy's blows them all out of the water.

I was traveling from the Midwest when my Prius stared sounding like a diesel truck. Ozzy’s took my car in on a Saturday morning, diagnosed the problem and had me on my way. They have the best ‘bedside’ manner, sitting down to talk with you about your vehicle’s issues and deciding what to do. I felt truly cared for and my car did to. Ozzy and his crew did some minor repairs on my 19-year-old car a while back. They were prompt, professional and courteous and did a good job. So when my car broke down on the side of the road at night, (when most auto shops were closed,) I felt comfortable having it towed to Ozzy's. Not only did they assess the situation promptly, but when it came time to decide to get rid of the vehicle, and another customer stopped by and expressed interest in it, they set up a deal that was much better than I thought I could get. I would highly recommend using Ozzy's!

Got a nail in my tire for the second time in a year and dropped it off on a Saturday at the local shop that patched it the first time. Hours later, the shop calls saying they're closing and asking why I haven't picked up the car yet. They'd never said how long it would take or called when it was done.

I was on my way out of the city towards the Hudson valley when I started hearing rattling noises in the back of my car. Stumbled upon this place online and decided to give em a shot. They got me in and out at a fair price and could've easily charged me more with the things I've been neglecting in my car - but they listened to me and knew I wasn't from the area so they got everything done quick and at a great price. I needed snow tires on my new RAV and after shopping around online, found a good deal with Good Year. I ordered online and scheduled the installation at Ozzy's because I have a friend who uses them and always says good things about them!

Not being an automotive aficionado, I had to find an auto repair place for scheduled maintenance and tires. I tried some other nearby places for tires but they weren't convenient to get to. I have tried other auto repair shops, but their capacities were limited as I needed both foreign (Volvo) and domestic cars (Tahoe) repaired. I'm surprised at all the bad reviews as my experience has been nothing but positive. I only deal with manager, Meer, and he's been always knowledgeable, honest and forthright about any work or repair that needs to be done to my car.
A nice thing that they do; as a courtesy, Ozzy's does a complimentary tire rotation during an oil change which others like Mavis charges $20.

Stopped by the Harriman, NY location at 11:00 am for a car inspection. Was told to come back at 1:00 pm. Okay, fine. Came back at 1:00 pm and now with an appointment, waited two hours before car was brought into the shop for the inspection. Inspection was performed, very thoroughly, actually too thoroughly. Was told my car needed a cabin filter and a bulb that was out in the trunk.

The worst unscrupulous car mechanic shop. I brought both of my cars here for inspection and they quote astronomical price for products. They recommended tires change on both of my cars and air filter change. I told them I changed the air filter a week ago and in response the lady at desk looks at me blank face and just says then you probably don't need them. So basically you are told you need something done that you may not need to begin with. Then I said I want to buy tire off online and install at other place, they gave me unimpressed look and says they can't pass the inspection. Yes

I wish I can give zero star or minus 1000 stars. The front desk people lie in your face and it is encouraged by the owner. Took my car for inspection as it is next to my workplace. That convenience is not worth the amount of dishonesty and blatant theft they commit. They said I need oil and oil filter change and also cabin air filter change. You will initially think $37 for inspection is decent price. But that's their way of fleecing off more money for unnecessary car repair. I literally changed the oil filter and oil changed a month ago at the dealer and the receipt was still in my glove

I agree with other comments here about NYS inspection experiences. Laundry list of issues that would probably not be flagged elsewhere. Despite this, I resolved them on my own, took the car back and was told after 45 minutes and another complete inspection that they didn't have tags, they'd run out, unapologetic ("nothing I can do.") Why couldn't they have told me this at the outset? They don't care about customer's time and are unconcerned with repeat business. First time I was there a guy in the waiting area was muttering under his breath about their high costs
