Having been to multiple consultations for counsel to assist us with completion of a step-parent adoption, we were mentally fatigued by the time we came across Randy's information. I was expecting the adoption process to be one big long uphill battle. Much to my surprise, it was not. Randy is a highly efficient, professional and communicative attorney. From day 1 he laid everything out for us: who to contact, what forms need to be filled out and what to expect the process to look like. The process was fairly easy and much shorter than expected. Randy was so great to work with! He helped with my adult adoption. I found him through the internet and selected him because of his positive reviews. He deserves all of the good things that people say about him. Our situation was somewhat unique - my fiance' wanted to adopt my adult daughter so technically was not a "stepparent adoption". I happened upon his ad, and gave him a call. An incredibly happy family with an adopted son thanks to Randy! Every one I talked to prior to hiring Randy told us it would take a year and even then with a lot of qualifications. Randy, interviewed my wife and I stated clearly what he could do for our family. I was skeptical when he said he could do it less than a year (7 months). I'm a believer and if adoption attorneys have groupies, count me in!

Randall helped my husband to adopt my daughter (his stepdaughter). He explained everything thoroughly during our consultation. When challenges arised with the biological father he knew exactly what to do and he helped us through it. We could not have completed the adoption without him. We tried once before to do the adoption without an attorney and it was impossible for us. Randall handled everything for us which made things go much more smoothly. He also made us feel like he cared personally about our family. His fees were very reasonable compared to other attorneys that we considered hiring.

Amazing lawyer! As many may know, adoption is never easy, no matter the circumstances. However, when a step parent is trying to adopt a step child with an absent parent, it even more difficult trying to get all parties to agree on what is in the best interest of the child. This review is long overdue. We utilized Randys services for a step parent adoption here in San Diego CA. Randy was very knowledgeable and made the process extremely easy (if anyone has dealt w court paperwork - you know it might as well be written in a foreign language... and that's if you can figure out which forms to fill out in the first place) The cost was reasonable and the process was a little under 3 months - and that included all background checks and social worker interviews. I couldn't be more thankful for Randy! After having worked with an attorney in past and having a bad experience he was such a breath of fresh air! He was professional, knowledgeable, and has mastered the art of making the adoption process as smooth as can be. We considered doing the process on our own but with the overwhelming amount of paperwork and the process itself we were so glad that we used Randy! He made the process so easy. I can't thank Randall Hicks enough for making our adoption process as smooth and seamless as possible. From the beginning, he lays out the entire process, options, timing, expectations, etc in such a detailed manner that your left with little to no questions. He's punctual and always quick to respond. The adoption process can be very lengthy, but he managed to get our process completed in less than 3 months. Our adoption is granted and it was quick, smooth and with the help of Mr. Hicks representation easier than anticipated. I found him online and even his website is fabulous, it almost answers every question you have. I filled out his questionaire and he replied within 24hours. When my daughter stated she wanted her stepdad to adopt her at age 17, we knew we did not have any time to waste if we wanted to do it before her 18th birthday.
