My purpose is to grow as I learn and help as many people as possible by putting a smile on their faces. Having served as a Latin dance instructor for several years, I am bilingual in Spanish and have a lifelong love for dance. I am genuinely an easy-going person, who enjoys social outings. I have worked in the medical field for 6+ years and was previously employed with the UNC Dental Faculty Practice in Orthodontics.

Dr. Jasenna Johnson is a native North Carolinian. She completed her undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduation, Dr. Johnson relocated to our nation's capital where she completed her specialty training at Howard University's College of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry specializing in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of jaw, face and bite irregularities (malocclusions*). Orthodontic treatment is provided by an oral health care provider known as an orthodontist, who has completed two to three years of additional training beyond dental school.

34 year old woman, first time ever going into an orthodontist office, I was Terrified and really didn’t know what to expect😳! Dr. Johnson made me feel welcomed, she educated me on the process, and made me feel confident about my choice to change my smile. She is extremely smart and she knows her specialty. You can tell by the service she gives her patients, the passion in her voice when she talks about orthodontics and, last but not least, the pride she puts into her work.

I made an appointment with Chatham Orthodontist for my 6 yr old who has an underbite and grinds her teeth. The receptionist was very friendly when I called to inquire about treatment. She explained to me how my insurance would work and what my option would be. When I arrived she was very friendly and ready for us. Dr. Johnson was great, also really friendly and very thorough. She explained what she thought best and why ans gave me a plan of action. When I mentioned my concern for my other child, she made time to fit him in for an initial consult as well.
