The founding father of Thai massage was an Ayurvedic doctor named Jivaka Kumar Bhacca, who is revered still in Thailand as the "father of medicine". Born in India during the time of the Buddha, he is noted in ancient documents for his extraordinary medical skills, his knowledge of herbal medicine, and for having treated important people.
First and foremost, we at Proud Thai Massage hope that each client will feel welcome and valued. A massage should be a time of rejuvenation and result in a greater sense of well-being. Thai massage is a rather rigorous process with a good deal of stretching which requires the active participation of both client and therapist; there is a constant sense of rhythmic motion.
Should I tell my massage therapist about any medical conditions, medications or allergies?. By all means, mention all these to the therapist. Massage requires a high level of concentration on the part of the therapist. So, while this is an open environment, please limit conversation to the specifics of the session.

This is a rare gem especially considering the high cost location. The owner is very friendly and professional and the massages are inexpensive. I've had about 5-6 massages here and I've had phenomenal experiences every time. My 1-hour massages have always felt like 2-hour massages because the ladies always put so much focus and care into their work. At the time of this review, the facility is closed for a remodel/move so I am anxiously waiting for an email to invite me back! Can't wait!

My two hour beating was amazing! Though not the most graceful masseuse, Patrick somehow found every tension point and worked to loosen them up. I was massaged in areas I never thought I could get relief. He was respectful and I could tell that he adapted his technique and approach to me.

This evening I had an hour and a half deep tissue massage with Thana, and I can honestly say it's the best massage that I have EVER had. (And I've had a lot.) Not only did she have a kind and vibrant energy, but she knew exactly what to do and where to concentrate the pressure throughout the massage. I've had back, neck, and head pain basically my whole life due to some minor scoliosis and the pain and tension had become almost unbearable the past few weeks. Traveled 48 years through Asia, America's and Europe. Noot is amongst the best for results for those with shoulder ailments. Work out daily, triathalete and gym junkie with shoulder pain is the pits. Working 11 hours per day too. Noot's experience for her career choice shows with 1 visit my shoulder was on it's way to recovery.

Great great great great! Had an appointment and was asked "have you ever had a THAI massage before?" My girlfriend tells the receptionist "ummm I think she has." The receptionist goes "you'd know..ok no problem!"

I got beat up so bad there, beat up I mean in a good way. Painful but all nice and stretched out. Very fast making appointments online and you get discounts. When I called at like 9am to change our appointment , the staff or owner answered phone really fast and we really appreciate it :)

Tanie was strong and skilled. She did a combination of Swedish and stretching for my Thai massage. Very relaxing and therapeutic. I highly recommended her for deep tissue massage (she is very friendly and constantly checks if you are ok, she can adjust the weight if it is too hard). Thai massage really helps stretch your back and legs. My back was very tight from sitting all day and she loosened it well.
The establishment is very clean. The mini waterfall inside makes very soothing sound during my massage. You also get a cup of tea after the massage.

Been here twice so far. Clean, professional, quiet, and therapist, Noot, has been a great help. She is attentive and her technique has helped ease sore joints. Their online appointment scheduler is also a great way to connect and ensure the time, type of treatment, and therapist you prefer are available - all without having to make a phone call. I plan to continue coming here.

After seeing all the positive reviews here, I decided to book an appointment, hoping it would help with my lower back pain. I told the masseuse to focus on my lower back and glutes, which she did. I came out out of the massage feeling a very different paint in my lower pain and I suspect that this massage caused a new injury. It's so painful I cannot bend down to put on my shoes.
It's been 4 days since my massage and the pain has not gotten better. I will need to see a chiropractor to resolve this injury.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I got a 90 minute couples massage for me and my Mom. Neither one of us had ever had a Thai massage before so we didn't know what to expect.
The massage therapists were well trained and very connected to our bodies - we had Noot and Wan. They asked us how things felt throughout the entire massage but were not intrusive.
We felt relaxed and loose and energized afterwards. Neither one of us experienced any muscle pain the next day.
We will definitely be back!

I had my very first Thai massage and what a great experience it was. Proud Thai Massage's location is convenient, easy to find and the place is really clean.
The massage itself was exactly what I needed and more. I've been getting massages for years now but what made this different was the stretching component. Just imagine when you stretch out right after waking up and you feel your body just opening and feeling revitalized....that's how this session felt like. First visit --- I Went in on advice from a friend, and glad I did. (Noot was my therapist) I rarely stretch on my own and having someone stretch you out and massage you is really unique. I felt great after and went back for round 2.
Second visit ---I focused on my knee pain and Paolo showed me what he thought was the issue and went to work stretching and massaging the surrounding muscles. Best it's felt in 2 yrs. I'll be a regular now.

I've had massages in the past at one of the chain massage centers and I was so sore after they massaged me I swore I would never go back.
Let me tell you this massage was incredible! The woman was so gentle yet so strong. I actually fell asleep a few times.
I felt like a new woman after the massage and experienced NO SORENESS AT ALL.
