Yoga for Health Education, located at The Village Center in Traverse City, Michigan, offers yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, tai chi, Pilates and Feldenkrais in a most unique and tranquil setting - the former State Hospital grounds. We feature classrooms which overlook a tree-filled park, free of vehicle noise & exhaust.
Windows are open during the warm days of spring, summer and fall to bring in fresh air, as well as sounds of birds. YHE's programs are designed to meet the needs of each individual in a non-competitive and safe environment.

Services
If you are a first time student at YHE, you may want to consult with our staff to help find your best placement. A gentle class especially suited for those who prefer not to work on the floor. All yoga postures will be done seated or standing using a chair for support and balance. A well-rounded variety of yoga poses for strength and flexibility are taught, along with breath work and relaxation.
For many years, Yoga for Health operated a green store of organic clothing, called Green Canopy. After a number of years the room was needed for an additional classroom. The store at Yoga for Health today still carries wonderful yoga mats, environmentally sound, along with props and supplies you need for your practice.
At Yoga for Health Education, we have a specific therapy division. Our highly trained staff is available to support students in times of need for injuries and chronic conditions. Libby Robold, is a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist (body/mind psychology), first certified in 1992, and re-certified in 2010.
We feature a wide array of classes for all ages & ability levels, taught by mature, professional instructors who come to Yoga for Health Education with diverse training and fields of expertise. Offering public and private classes. Libby began her yoga studies with Dr. Ron Chalfant, Iyengar teacher, in 1978.

I am currently taking the Beginning Yoga class with Michael and he explains things well and tailors to your level. There is no competition and pure relaxation!
